SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (THURSDAY, DEC. 14)

Good Afternoon, Ladies!  Hope those of you in the cold/snowy/icy areas are keeping warm and safe.  Really a good time for me to be in southern Arizona since I don't  like the cold.

I have been to the gym and picked up a few items from the grocery store.  They certainly know how to tempt me this time of the year -- "go ahead, treat yourself, and maybe buy extras for others" seems to be the message.   I did pretty well with sticking to my list, thank goodness.  I'm nearly finished with my Christmas cards, which makes me happy.

I'll be visiting DH in a little while, and the nurse should be there as well.  They are having a party for the hospice workers this afternoon, so she is coming a bit earlier than usual.  Fingers crossed that DH is awake and smiling.

Kathleen asked for prayers on Facebook, so I'm sure she would welcome yours if that is something you do..

Hope everyone has a nice day, and please post if you have a chance.

Hugs,

Linda

Linda--Thank you for starting the thread. You are doing well resisting those temptations to buy. It seems the messages just keep coming from a variety of sources. I do  hope your visit with DH goes well.

I just got home from work It was a challenging day but I survived but not without my nagging headache I had this morning getting worse. Needless to say, I just took some meds and will be going to bed. I rarely get a  headache, so I want to be on top of it and head off any other developments.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (THURSDAY, DEC. 14)

I worked remotely today and kept to a tight schedule.  I did use my 45 minute lunch to shovel the 7 or 8 inches that accumulated.  Love that shovel from the Q.  I fell down and hurt my wrist - not on my own property.  My neighbor was using her snowblower to do her driveway.  Nothing cleans snow like a shovel, lol.  I asked her if she wanted me to finish blowing for her.  She asked me to shovel her walk up to the front porch.  As I walked down her driveway, I hit something slippery and went face down and I mean face down (head to toe) in a snowdrift.  She was horrified and I couldn't stop laughing.

My sweater arrived from JCP the other day.  Haven't opened the bag yet.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise
