I know!!! The price was better today!! I hope you love it. I wanted to order for the girls but I'm not sure they would wear them. Oldest has an allergy to metal sometimes, and youngest does not like jewelry much. Mom bought her a tiny James Avery cross necklace that she almost never took off. I went home last weekend, opened my sad little empty jewelrly (Lori G stand up mirror) case and there was DD's necklace. Yes I am quite anxious to hear from her. Had a little meltdown on Sunday waiting for the phone to ring and a lot of posts "he just called" "I got a letter today". this is the longest we've been with no contact, EVER. Back to the jewelry I really like that other site too.

Hi girls! Well, I'm glad I didn't turn the heat off - after a beautiful, warm day yesterday, it's down to the 40s today, and the rain makes it seem even colder. I won't be going anywhere; it's a good day to curl up with a good book and read.

Charlene, I think when your daughter has her photo session with the goat it would be worth capturing the fun on video - you may have a viral YouTube hit on your hands! I've come to really enjoy cozies since I discovered the genre; I particularly like the two series by Elaine Viets (Dead End Job series and Mystery Shopper series), Krista Davis' Domestic Diva series, Ali Brandon's Black Cat Bookshop Mystery series, and Jessica Beck's Donut Shop Mystery series, but on the latter, only through book 15. After that she started self-publishing and it's apparent she's just churning out books as quickly as possible to make as much money as she can, and the quality of her writing has suffered. I haven't read any British cozies - are there any you can particularly recommend?

Yesterday I went to the PO to pick up my package from Amazon...and it wasn't there, despite the fact that the Amazon site said it had been delivered at 8:30 a.m. One of the clerks said she'd look for it, and just called to say she found it, so I'll have to go back...but I'll wait until tomorrow when it's not raining. I picked up some TSP cleaner and a light switch replacement at Lowe's, and it was so nice out that I didn't feel like coming home yet, so I thought I'd see if the Walmart in Fort O had Entenmann's hot cross buns. They didn't, but I saw the top I had liked so much in the other two Walmarts (although one store had it in a size too small and the other in a size too big), and since they had my size I tried it on, and it looks really cute. In fact, I ended up getting two, as the prints and colors are entirely different: one is shades of turquoise and blues, and the other shades of orange - both really good colors for me. They had cute long-sleeved T-shirts on clearance for $2; they were still folded as they came from the factory, not at all picked over, so I got two for my BFF and two for my elderly aunt with Alzheimer's for Easter. I didn't realize they were long sleeved until I was paying for them, but that's fine for my friend as she lives in the mountains, and although the aunt lives in Florida I know most old people are usually cold, and everyplace there is air conditioned. There's a main street in Fort O for shopping, and I hadn't been as far down it as Walmart in a few months, so I was really surprised to see that since I was last there they built a new Ross, Marshall's, Hobby Lobby, and Petco! They're supposed to open in a few weeks...not that I need anything. In fact, I still haven't gotten around to checking out the new Burlington. I love Ross and Marshall's, and since two of my other favorite stores are there - Beall's Outlet and Hamrick's - that may be my "go to" place for shopping in the future, since the Georgia sales tax is so much lower than it is here.

I guess I should do something - at least get up and get moving. The next jobs on the agenda are to finish cleaning my office, sweep and polish the stairs, and get the kitchen cleaned up. I had the strangest dream last night; Jean and I were both vying for the attention of a gentleman. In some "frames" of the dream he was clean-shaven, but in others he had a "mountain man" beard. I wonder where that came from?

Genny, I took the easy way out, and had DH let me know what he wanted instead of wracking my brain. I got lucky that he just wants pierogies we have ready to go in the freezer. I made a batch awhile ago to have on hand just for times like this. They have been a huge help to me! I think I'm making a batch of tuna salad for myself. Tomorrow is no meat, and my belly isn't on it's best behavior today, so light is the order of the day for me!

Arlene, Glad you found your tops, along with another style to give for Easter. I wanted to get together with my BFF tomorrow to shop, and go out for lunch, but another blasted snow storm is coming. Guess who's staying home...... :^(

I had a long chat with my BFF this afternoon as it's her birthday today. They celebrated over the weekend, so it was fine for her to chat. I have to vacuum the trunk of my car as I have ice melt spillage throughout, and don't want to use it that way. I have no idea after that's done and supper is finished. It's looking like a book or puzzle night so far, unless I get inspired somehow. Right now, I got nothin'. pinky

Ann, how often do you do puzzles? Just curious. The girls and I get one and do it every so often. I should put one out next time I go to "country home".

Pinky....Lets hope they are wrong about the snow tomorrow. My DH was the one who suggested the salmon for tonight.....usually he says..""..I don't know. What do you think? ""Friday's are easy usually pizza or some other take out food....we don't eat meat on Fridays during Lent either so it is just cheese pizza.

Genny, I love salmon, so I have to take DH's side on that! My own DH will eat it on occasion, but won't ever ask for me to make it. lol I hope so badly that they're wrong about the snow.... We're just beginning to see grass! ....:u(

Kathleen, I do a puzzle whenever the mood strikes, so it's hard to say. I like to do the smaller ones more than my large ones as they can be done in one day. I also love Jigzone.com! A poster mentioned it once, and I'm hooked!

I do the puzzle of the day, every day, and if I'm in the mood, I'll do several others in a day. They range from 6 pieces to 247, so there is something for everyone. Honestly, I used to be such a huge reader, but actually prefer puzzles now. It's only the past few years that I started with them, but I feel it's something interesting enough to me that I'll do them for a very long time. pinky

One thing I learned in "class" today (off topic, but....) Queen Elizabeth II is a big jigsaw puzzle fan. She gets every puzzle released in England, and she insists that they be in paper bags so she doesn't have a picture to go by. That is what I call "hard core". LOL
