Hope you recover faster than normal to your infusion, Barbara. Enjoy your tea, etc.
I have told my DD about my back issues, and she does urge me to go to the doctor, but I have been very disappointed with what the doctors have had to say. Fortunately, I was better today, and work went well. My plan is to talk to my new nurse practitioner to see if she has any suggestions.
I received a birthday card from my longest friend (we have been friends since third grade), and learned that her husband has had several health problems including seizures. The doctors haven't figured out the cause (no stroke, etc.), but he is on a medication that works so he can drive again. Also, her son (father of three young children) is going through a contentious divorce. Fingers crossed they can work something out as far as custody goes. Not a lot of good news.
Waves to Barbara, Fressa, Glenda, Bernie, Susan, and all of our posters and readers.
Hope everyone sleeps well.
Hugs,
Linda

After another pretty rough night, I decided to call my doctor (the one who is retiring), and I was able to get an appointment this afternoon. More than my back is involved -- perhaps unrelated, but....
Hope everyone has a nice day.

My doctor thinks my two problems -- back and digestive system -- are not related. I had a blood test in his office, and then had x-rays of my spine at an imaging center nearby. Thursday afternoon, I will have a CT scan. The doctor was very nice about everything, and I was pleased to be able to get the x-rays done today. The imaging center was packed with people, but most were having other tests rather than x-rays so they took me as a walk-in.
Starting to feel like the old lady that I am. LOL
I was able to work at the senior lunch program today, and it went well. Busy, but not as busy as last week.
Hope everyone sleeps well.
Hugs,
Linda

Hi Everyone!
We got the snow they forecasted and very cold temps. I could see the outline of wildlife sleeping next to the house over night. Wind gusts are fairly consistent but not bothering the trees, too much. The washer broke as I was washing jeans on Monday. UGH!! We think it's the drain pump (again). It's been 5 years so I guess that's decent. We ordered another one (it's double the price these days) Hopefully, it will work.Fingers crossed.
I'm still behind on the posting but I'm getting there. I did manage to bath the dogs on our only decent weather day on Tuesday. It was the quickess I ever did two dogs. It was warm enough that I didn't have to light the fireplace to warm it up for them. Chewy pharmacy and the vet's office has Ada's prescription in a mess. I dealt with the finger pointing yesterday which had me shaking my head. Fortunately, we are in winter so her allergy medicine isn't needed as much as during the summer &fall.
Hope everyone is feeling some relief to their health issues.
Have a good afternoon/evening.

Good Morning/Afternoon! Hope all of you in the cold zone are keeping warm. Our area is the exception to most with a high in the 70's predicted today. Yesterday morning was pretty cold (30 degrees or so), but it warmed up to 70 degrees later. And, this morning it was in the 40's when I took my walk. It was my first walk in quite a while.
Right now, I am drinking the second bottle of barium sulfate which is needed for the CT scan I am having this afternoon. I am pleasantly surprised that the taste isn't too bad. Certainly much better than the stuff I had to drink before the colonoscopy.
Sorry to hear about your washer, Fressa. Hope the part you ordered does the trick. Glad you were able to bathe the dogs.
Today is my second DGS' birthday, and he and his girlfriend are driving down from Maryland to visit DD and family in SC. She is busy trying to get things ready (groceries, linens, etc.) Hope it will be a nice visit.
My youngest DGS and his girlfriend were planning to get together with his brother, but things are a little up in the air since her Father is on hospice and not doing well. I'm sure he will be there, perhaps not with her.
I still haven't worked on my Christmas cards yet, but hope to do so today and perhaps tomorrow. I went to one of the grocery stores and Walmart yesterday, and found several things MIA. But, I was able to get some vegetables and fruit on sale.
Waves to Fressa, Barbara, Bernie, Glenda, Susan, and all of our posters and readers.
Hope everyone sleeps well.
Hugs,
Linda

Hi Everyone!
There was a dusting of snow on the ground this morning with cold temps. Since lunchtime the sun has appeared so the ice melter can work. The patio rugs are still frozen so I'm hoping between the sun and ice melter it thaws them out. I try a different approach with each new brand that I put out there. You would think they would be shielded by the fence but that doesn't seem to make a difference.
The washer seems to be fixed so I guess it was the drain pump. Five years is pretty good these days for a washer/dryer repair. Thank heavens the hubby was able to repair it. YouTube is useful that way.
I'm still trying to tackle some Christmas shopping but it's getting there. I'm taking inventory on the gift cards. There are some that I couldn't find at the store. I'm just going to give what I can find. I received a notice tody that Kohl's can't guarantee delivery before Christmas so I'm crossing my fingers. The Q was offering a "code" for $ off with an order today. I used that to purchase the facial scrub that I like.
LindaLatte---Hope all your visitors get where they need to be.
Good luck with your screening.
Have a good afternoon/evening.

I finally got off of dead center this week and decorated the house and tree; I finished on Wednesday. I don't know why decorating for the holiday has been such an effort for me this year because I usually have no problem getting started after Thanksgiving. Since I was on a roll, I wrote out my Christmas cards and got them in the mail (inside of the post office) this morning.
We had a cold snap with temps in the teens and winds that started yesterday. It's supposed to get better this weekend. We also had a dusting of snow that basically clung to the grass. My sister had to shovel which is funny to me because we don't live that far apart.

Happy your DH was able to repair the washer, Fressa. Good luck with your shopping, etc.
Glad you were able to get the decorating and cards done, Bernie.
The CT scan went fine, so now I am just waiting to get the results. I was able to finish my cards yesterday and mailed them at the Post Office.
This morning, they had an appreciation breakfast for the senior lunch program volunteers -- nice, but pretty bare-bones compared to previous years.
I have been working at the hospice office after the breakfast and will be returning soon (came home for lunch, etc.)
My second DGS and his girlfriend made it to SC around 9:00 p.m. (they were expected to be there by 6:00 or 7:00), and DD was pretty tired by then. The good news is that DD said this girlfriend is extremely nice (what a contrast to his previous one).
Need to get back to work now.
Hope everyone has a nice evening.
Hugs,
Linda

Hi Everyone!
It was very cold today but no more snow. It's a bit windy which is predicted to last thru Monday. I spent the day trying to get a handle on the gifts for Christmas and the gift cards that we purchased this week. I still have a few deliveries that I hope make it here and more gift cards to purchase. Hopefully, everything will fit in gift bags. (fingers crossed)
The hubby isn't feeling well. He seldom gets sick which I marvel at. He gets his yearly shots which is usually all he needs. His company holiday party is Monday so we hope he's better by then. I did a little more decorating with the garland that I found on sale. It didn't go where I wanted it to go but it looks fine where it is. I should have stuck to the same color scheme thru the house instead of mixing it up this year. Oh well.
I'm hoping the Hallmark delivery arrives soon. I still have a few cards to get in the mail and I want to send all the family cards at once. Fingers crossed.
Keeping those in need in my prayers.
Have a good evening.
