SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY)

Good morning, shopping friends. Today is a beautiful sunny day. I'll be going to church and then I face an afternoon with no locked in plans.

I'm an electronics fan so the TSV is interesting. Before anyone buys this, you should know that this is not the latest Fire being offered by Amazon. There is nothing wrong with the TSV but the comparative retail value contains the extras that you might have to buy at Amazon, including the two year support. In the time I've had Kindles, I've used support twice and I didn't have any Premier support. Both times, my Kindle was replaced and one was a result of my fault. I've been very satisfied with regular support. I would suggest anyone considering the TSV that they go to Amazon and see what the current pricing might be for the Fire HD and then any cost for add on to get a total price. Only then will you have a good comparison.

I did go and order from Amazon the cat scratcher saucer thing which Arlene recommended and which also had good reviews at Amazon. In addition, I ordered a different version.

I just checked the price of the 7inch Kindle HD as I suspected it might be on sale with Amazon introducing the HDX. The sale price is $139 for the 8gb and $169 for the 16gb. The two-year protection is $34.99 and a Kindle case is $39.99. What might make the QVC deal appealing is the easy pay. I'm one of those who never bought the extended warranty, so if you are careful that would be $35 saved from not getting the two-year protection. Most electronic gizmos, if they fail, do so in the first year. That extended warranty would be good for accidents.

Have a great day. If you shop, shop wisely.
