Good morning, shopping friends. It is a beautiful, sunny day but nippy. I can take the nippy as long as there is sun to brighten the day.
Right now, I'm watching the Weather Channel. Our prayers are with those affected by Matthew.
I have been in a buying mood and I think it has been affected by wanting a little TLC because of all the medical stuff going on lately. My Basso TSV throw has shipped; I will have the WEN 613 gift package coming my way, as well as the Sketchers shoes.
I was almost tempted to cancel the furlined Sketchers but the cold house this morning influenced me to change my mind. I finally broke over and turned on the heat which is off now but was definitely needed to take out the 44 degree morning chill.
I was very good this morning and paid 3 cards in full. I made a resolution a long time ago that I would pay these cards in full. Now, to replace the funds in my checking which will be helped by a Social Security check on Wednesday and paycheck on Friday.
Tomorrow, I will go for the bladder scope to check to see if the cancer has returned. I don't think it has as there are no symptoms but the protocol requires checking every few months. This one does not involve a check of the kidneys so I won't need twilight anesthesia, just a topical anesthesia where the scope will be inserted.
Bernie--I'm glad you were finally able to get the boots. I really like them. Let's hope they are a great fit; the price was great!! I was even tempted but I had to pass.
Kathleen--I know you are busy prepairng for the move. I need to pretend I am moving. Perhaps that would be a greater motivator for getting things out of here
Have a great day. If tempted to shop, check your emotions and see how they are entering into your purchase.

Barbara--Good news on DH. I know that is a sense of relief that will enable both of you to enjoy AZ and points in between. Happy packing and safe travels.
I just turned on "In the Kitchen." I saw them pushng some itty bitty knife sharpeners that were on Shark Tank. Does it surprise us that they are being pushed as Christmas gifts....only 11 weeks away?
O.K, I bought the shoes and plan to go to Puerto Rico in November but don't have any cake; yes, life is short so make the most of it but do it responsibly:

Good afternoon ladies, hope all is well. Haven't been posting, but, I have been reading.
Jean, thank you for starting us today, we are nippy here but the sun is up. This is my favorite time of year, I could deal with this all year long. I need to get a new pair of Sketchers for around the house, mine are starting to look pretty sad.
Kathleen, I am very excited for you and DH on you new adventure, keep us up to date on all of it. With your outgoing personality, you will make friends quickly there. Not sure when you leave, but have an exciting and safe jouney.
Linda, Hope DH is doing better, wishing you the best. All your new home improvements sound beautiful.
I forgot who lost their BIL - My sympathy to you and DH, and your BIL's family.
My dad is in the Veteran's hospice, we cherish each day we get with him.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Jean, I know a couple of people who have undergone the bladder scope. They said it was uncomfortable - granted they were men and the scope did have a little further to travel. Even though you will receive a topical, I'll say prayers that it isn't uncomfortable and that you have a favorable outcome.

Aww Susan, I am very sorry about your Dad.

I bought my new winter boots from DSW yesterday. I'm trying not to look at JCP at all, he he he.
I'm getting emails left and right and for anyone who remembers the TV show Hogan's Heroes.....

Good morning ladies, and thanks @KonaKat for the start. It was cool here this morning also, but not as chilly at where you are.
Matthew really did a number on many, many people. I feel for them, and hope they can recover.
Hope you get a good report from your doctor tomorrow.
No shopping for me today, other than a couple items from the grocery store. A week from tomorrow I go to the nearest city for a couple doctor apptmts, have I think about 3 hours in between, which I plan to use doing some shopping, so I'm good till then, lol.
@sydsgma1, so glad your DH got a clean report. Enjoy your travels and be safe.
@PAlady, my best to your Dad, very tough time for you and your family. I am sorry.
Not much going on here today, I took my walk and have laundry going. It's a beautiful day, so may spend some time outdoors, there is always something to be done there. Not much in the mood for cleaning house today. After I make a quick trip to the store I will decide on what's for dinner.
Enjoy your Sunday. Waves....

Susan--I think you might follow the dictates of that graphic and buy yourself another pair of shoes. No enabling at all here! Ha! Definitely enjoy each day you have with your father.
Bernie--I've been having these bladder scopes ever since I had the bladder cancer removed. They alternate the method. One is when they put you out because they explore the kidneys also and the other is like the one I'm having tomorrow. When I last had it, there was no problem and I got to see on screen exactly what the urologist was seeing. He explained to me every step and also showed me where the cancer had been removed. I have positive vibes about it but one never knows.
I'm off to get a carryout from the local pizza place. Call me lazy today. I might stop at the overpriced grocery store and get a dessert.
