Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME SUNDAY, MAY 19th, 2024)

Great to hear from you, Barbara.  I'm sure I would be freezing if I were there with you.  I find it chilly enough for a light jacket if it is much below 60 degrees when I take my walk in the morning.  Of course, about half way through it is warm enough that I have to take off the jacket.

I'm sure you will be much more comfortable when you have more space, but it is a major adjustment to be in an apartment.  That will take time.  Hope you find some incompatible ladies soon.

Congratulations to your DGD.  I think I mentioned that my DH's younger DGD graduated from high school on Tuesday.  She had a very difficult time with being home during COVID, etc., so it was especially sweet.  She seems to be in a better place (mentally) and decided to go to college (that was questionable earlier in the year).

My physical therapist actually had me walk around and gave me pointers about how to avoid falling.  I am walking slower and have my medical alert with me, so hopefully I can avoid falling.

I made it to the gym today -- did more/better than on Tuesday, thank goodness.  Still taking it slow.  No call back from the doctor about more tests/x-rays -- frustrating.

Sleep well.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

Good Morning!

Hope to post more soon, but I wanted to wish everyone a nice Memorial Day.  Also, Jean finally posted on Facebook this morning.  She is still in the care facility and lacking in energy.  But, it was so great to see her posting again.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME SUNDAY, MAY 19th, 2024)

Hi Everyone!

It's been storming here off and on for the last couple of days. So far... nothing as bad as the forecast prdicted. We only had one clogged driveway drain situation which is an improvement. I had my fi;ngers crossed that would end with the new road. At least, it's not as often so that's an improvement.

We are both exhausted from the a/c install and garage clean out. We only received one set of shelves instead of the two that I ordered. So....we have one half of the garage organized and looking decent and the other half in a crowed third until the seconf set of shelves arrive. Good news is that we can park both cars in the garage and move the garbage cans out for pickup tomorrow. The new system's location seems to be keeping the house cooler with saving a bit on the settings. The install man sdvised to give it two weeks to find the settings that work. There are fewer settings with this model which is a good thing.

Hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day.

Have a good afternoon/evening.
