SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, MARCH 6th)

Good Afternoon!  It is sunny, but cool here with a high of 61 degrees predicted for the day, and in the 30's tonight.  I saw that some parts of the country are having much warmer than normal weather, but not here.  I was a little concerned about being chilly in outdoor church this morning, but it wasn't too bad.  Next week we will move indoors.  Our county is now in the "medium" CDC category, which is better.

I was pretty excited to try a chickpea curry recipe yesterday, but found it was way too hot for my taste.  I hope that the ingredients I added (almond milk, etc.) will make it more tolerable tonight.  If not, I guess I will just throw it out.

While I don't need clothing or shoes, I enjoy fashion days much more than others that feature items that are not of interest.  I noticed the D&Co. beach pants are back.  I have a couple of pairs and find them comfortable, but no need for more.  The TSV shoes are cute, but I certainly don't need more shoes.  Hopefully, I will continue to resist "want" purchases.  Wish me luck.

Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday.  Please post if you have a chance.

Hugs,

Linda

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, MARCH 6th)

Linda--Thank you for starting the thread.  It has been a long, dreary and rainy day. I've been watching the rest of Fashion Day, starting with a Sunday AM Style. I have those Denim & Co. beach pants collected over the past two  years some from regular sales and some from clearance when a version of them was no longer being sold but essentially the same as the ones sold today.

I put in an hour on the elliptical today, and also did two sets of two of the exercises in the folder for prep for knee surgery. Despite the possibility of it not happening, I will do my best to be prepared as it helps with the surgery and pt afterwards.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, MARCH 6th)

Good afternoon ladies, hope all is well.

Linda - Thank you for starting us today.  Sorry to hear the recipe was too hot, maybe adding a few thing will help.  I hope the changes make it more tolerable, I hate to throw good food away, but if it is not going to work.

We had some beautiful weather here today, we hit 70 degrees and had sun all day.  Of course this will not last, but the weather was better than they anticipated.  Glad to hear your church is moving indoors.  DH's church is taking away the mask mandate next week, he may decide to go.  He hasn't been to church for two years.

Jean - Sorry to hear your weather was so yucky today.  Good job on the exercising, and good luck with the knee surgery.  When do you go to the hospital for the medicine change?

I did some decluttering today, not as much as I should have, but next week I am going to ramp it up.  I am running out of time here.

Not much else to report from PA, have a good evening everyone.

LindaLatte---My standby for "cooling" down spicy is always cheese or some type of canned bean depending on the dish. I hate to throw food away but sometimes a new recipe just doesn't work.

So far, I have resisted on the Fashion Days. I may pick one thing to spend my gift card but I'm still thinking about it. The longer I wait then I know that I didn't need or want the item. Alway a good thing.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, MARCH 6th)

PALady--- We are still having the rain storms with wind gusts. UGH!!  They have a storm warning out for the next 48 hours and extra caution with the wind gusts. It just bblew over our 6' stacked wood rack. I'm just hoping the firewood hit grass and not mud when we finally are able to put it back in place. UGH!!

I need to get my energy back to start the next round of decluttering. Normally, I only have one project at a time around here but that plan went out the window  when I needed to take a break from the "big" project. Now it's driving me crazy that I have so many rooms in the middle of various projects. Eventally, it will all get done but trying to pace myself is a "work in progress" for me. LOL
