SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, MARCH 1st)

Good Morning!  It is fairly warm (50's) and cloudy here, and it should make it up into the 60's.  Tomorrow should be cooler and rain is predicted.  Hope the weather is okay where you live.

I like some IM items, including lace tops, but no TSV for me.  Not my style, and I don't think I would wear them often or ever.  Other items my tempt me, but none so far.  That is a good thing since I have way too many clothes already.  I did order a new shower curtain and curtain liner from Amazon, so I'm looking forward to receiving them.

No exciting plans here -- church, gym, and ironing.  I may also take a walk later.

Hope everyone is feeling okay, and your new bed was comfortable, Bernie.

Waves to all of our posters and readers. Have a nice day, and please post if you have a chance.

Hugs,

Linda

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, MARCH 1st)

Hi Linda @LindaLatte  The TSV isn't for me either.  I know they ran a clip with one of the hosts and she said the pants could be worn during the day.  When I saw the clip I thought, if you say so Woman Wink

I slept fairly well for it being a new bed.  My body needed a few minutes to adjust to having support all over.  I did try to sleep on my stomach and that didn't work for me.  I'm mostly a side sleeper so it's all good.

The sheet sets that I had for the old mattress weren't deep enough because I put enough toppers on it to create a Princess and the Pea situation.

The new mattress is 12 1/2 inches tall on it's own and I did add that really nice topper that I bought for myself and my sister.  Fitted sheet was barely hanging on - I had to laugh.

Target is running a pretty good sale on bedding so I ordered two sheet sets and two sets of coordinating pillow cases. I checked out bedding at JCP and I was really surprised that they didn't have any pillowcases listed online.  The only pillowcases they sold came in sheet sets.  I read all of the reviews of the sheet sets at Target.

I ended up ordering the Opalhouse 400 thread count cotton performance sheets in pale pink and aqua.

The fitted sheets can allegedly fit an 18 inch deep mattress.  We'll see.

I looked through the linen closet and tossed old sheets from two beds ago, lol, and worn pillowcases.

I then went through the collection of extension cords (I don't know how I accumulate these) and found some old ones that didn't look UL approved.  Those will go to the local electronics recycling event.

I then got rid of several empty photo frames.  I can recycle the glass and cardboard from all of those and can recycle the metal frames.

I feel like I've been productive today.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, MARCH 1st)

I guess Jean did not see that I had already started the thread.  I have pasted what she wrote --

Greetings, shopping friends. It is a beautiful sunny but nippy day. Spring is just around the corner, but as I consider that I remember the Storm of the Century (20th) took place in March dumping large amounts of snow, closing airports, and making road travel hazardous.

I had arrived in Atlanta the day before it hit, so I had a great view of empty freeways from my high floor room. People who arrived found themselves unable to get a room as people were unable to check out. Instead, room sharing with acquaintances who already had arrived like me became the norm. Restaurant meals were converted to buffet with limited options because the food trucks couldn't get in. We survived and life became more normal in two or three days.

I ventured to the local Dollar Store to pick up hand sanitizer and other necessities as I had heard hand sanitizer was hard to find in the city. There were three large bottles of the hand sanitizer left and two medium sized one. I bought one large bottle plus liquid handsoap as mine was nearing the bottom.  I also bought Advil with a long expiration date and toilet tissue. .Other than that, that is all I am doing in terms of being proactive in dealing with the virus thread. I can always use the hand sanitizer, hand soap. Advil and toilet tissue.

After much deliberation over a couple of days, I ordered the QF crops that are on clearance. I already have them but after two years, they are now too big for me but can be worn around the house. I lost one pair of them in the August accident.

I can't see myself wearing lace pants so not purchasing the TSV was an easy decision. I can see the lace getting caught on something and pulled more than if it were a top or something with lace trim. Sometimes less is more!

Have a great day. If you shop, shop wisely.

Linda--I had looked and didn't see the thread before I started writing and also just before I hit the submit button before Noon.We may have hit the submit button about the same time as the posting time is the same.  Sorry! Thanks for reposting.

Bernie--I hope the new bed outfift works well for you after you adjust to it.

I work tomorrow. Now it is time to get my Kindle and relax a little.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, MARCH 1st)

twinny posted on the other thread (I am trying to consolidate them).

-----------------

  • Jean, it was so nice to have March  come in like a 🐑🐑🐑.  I can only remember having a blizzard on our anniversary once in all of these years.  The biggest snowstorm that I can remember was in April of 1973.  My DH always walked to work which was a good thing since we lived on a dead end & we were snowed in for 3 days.  It's a good idea to order the QF pants since they are on special & fit you nicely.  I can't see myself wearing lace pants either for your reasons.  I do like lace tops though.  I always keep a hand sanitizer in our vehicle & an extra one in the house.
  •
  • I have no idea how the dots keep showing up.  I am certainly no artist drove downtown after church and potluck dinner & did my walk around the square. There were quite a few people eating at the various restaurants.

It's hot tub time.

Hugs to all of you.

@twinny70

Twinny--When you go to post, at the top of the posting box yoiu will see some things you can click on to help with your post. It starts with a "B" which you can click on to make things bold and ends to the far right with something to make a bullet list. Those dots youi see are the bullets. My hunch is that you accidentally "moused" over the "bullet" thing causing the dots to post.

Our Rite Aid is now a Walgreens. The next time I get a refill, I have to go and have prescription numbers, and auto refill changed.
