SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, JUNE 26th)

Good Afternoon/Evening!  it has been cloudy most of the day, but no rain yet.  We could certainly use some rain.  It was quite pleasant on my walk early this morning (not hot and overcast).

Pretty quiet around here. I have been to church and the gym -- neither were crowded.  I heard from the airline that my flight home from visiting DD has been changed from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  I guess they are anticipating staff shortages.  Not great news, but......

I talked with Bev yesterday, and she seems to be doing okay -- able to control the pain.  One leg and foot are still swollen.  She is still trying to build up her strength/endurance.

Hope everyone has had a nice Sunday.  Have a good evening, and please post if you have a chance.

Hugs,

Linda

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, JUNE 26th)

Hi Linda @LindaLatte   Michigan weather is so flaky that one cannot trust a forecast for more than 2 days running.  I was so looking forward to rain last night/this morning and when I watched the 10 o'clock news last night the forecaster said it would be hit and miss.  When I awoke this morning it was clear that I fell in the miss category.  I knew in my bones the forecaster was just pulling me leg this morning when he said scattered rain between 11 am and 3 pm so I started the watering shortly after 7 am.

There are a couple of Robins that aren't as afraid of me as the others in the neighborhood.  Earlier in the week when I rolled out the hose mobile into the front yard to hook the hose to the front of the house spigot one of the Robins came within a foot of me and looked up at me like he was thinking, is that a hose I see?

Last night as I was drawing the picture window drapes closed I saw my male Robin standing at the base of the silver maple just wishing for food.  That's when I said to myself, it we don't get rain then I'm going all in tomorrow.

So today I went all in and moved that oscillating sprinkler from section to section (front and back yards) for 6 1/2 hours.  I'm looking forward to cooler temps over the next two days.

When are you visiting your daughter?  Did you say and I missed it?

God Bless Bev.

God Bless V @sydsgma1

Glad you found a solution for your drain problem, Bernie.  Also glad you are happy with your JCP order.

I tried repairing the solar screen door by learning from You Tube videos, but no luck.  I think there was a problem with the doors -- plastic instead of metal rollers, etc.  The expert tried to make adjustments, but failed.  That made me feel slightly better.

My trip to visit DD and family (at least part of the family) is in September.  I decided to wait until they had a chance to settle into their new home, and she said September would work.

LindaLatte---Thanks for the update on Bev. I will continue to keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

A quiet Sunday is a nice rest before the week starts. We had all our "kids" over and it was not quiet. LOL

Birdmama---They had forecast a "monsoon" thunderstorm to hit us at 4P yesterday and to last thru until today. We had strong breezes but this storm just missed us. I swear I'm going to rely on my "knee" forcast from now on.

Glad your robins are checking out the entire yard.. I think they return to the same area once they make a nest but am not 100% sure of that fact. The pair that we had last year made a nest in the "sacrifice" handing basket on the trellis. This year the couple made a a nest inside the trellis using an old nest and adding more twigs to it.
