SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, JAN 21)

Good morning, shopping friends. I'm still on a shopping diet but the TSV is tempting me. Yesterday, I went to the city to get my nails done, had lunch with a friend and then went to WalMart to get grocery fill ins. I was very focused and bought only what I neeed.

I'm working every day this week at this point, so today is a day I'll be doing odds and ends as well as resting up for the coming week.  In the meantime, the TSV still is calling me.

I got 50 minutes of exercise done today while watching an episode of ER. Love that show!. According to the FitBit, I got in 6 hours and 45 active minutes last week. It is so much easier when there is something entertaining to pass the time while exercising on the cycle.

I was reading the thread in the "Handbag" category about the disappearing brands. It reminded me that when I came home yesterday, I turned on the Q and saw a crossbody bag being presented. I thought I have that bag as it looked identical to one I have in design, shape, placement of the metal logo, etc. but strap was slightly different. Then I saw it was a Dooney, but the one I have is an IM leather bag and mine was much cheaper. I'm happy with my bag and would not have wanted to pay the price asked for the Dooney version.

I'm wishing each and everyone of you a good day. We are facing individual and family challenges but with support we can make it through the challenges. Our nation is having a government shutdown; we have had 17 prior shutdowns of varying intensities and length and have survived but let us all hope for the best.

Have a great day. If you shop, shop wisely

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, JAN 21)

Good Morning/Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Jean.  Glad you are sticking with your exercise and have found good programs to watch while doing so.  Hope work goes well next week.  The TSV looks very interesting, but so far I'm resisting.  For one thing, I already have an oven, toaster oven, and microwave.  That seems like a lot for the amount of cooking that I do these days.  I guess I could donate the toaster oven, but certainly not the oven or the microwave which would leave a big hole in my kitchen.

I am debating an offer for a language program (on-line) this morning.  I need to decide by noon and it is already past 11:00 a.m.  I don't want to rush into the purchase, so it probably will not happen today at least.

I'm back from church, and headed to the gym soon.  I'll visit DH later.

It is pretty cool here this morning (low 30's), and our high for the day is only supposed to be in the 50's.  I felt pretty strange wearing a coat to church since usually a sweater or jacket/blazer is all I need.  I know it is warm compared to most places, but....

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Have a nice Sunday!

Hugs,

Linda

This afternoon I handwashed my car and the car I'm giving to my sister.  Wow, near the end I couldn't really feel my hands but the cars look good, lol.

I ordered my usual bird food/treats from Dr Fosters and Smith yesterday.  It was time anyway however I appreciated the 30% off coupon code and free shipping at $19.

Other than that, I'm controlling 'wanty'

Linda--I liked the TSV because of its size. I have a countertop convection oven but it is smaller than the TSV. I decided that it, the George Foreman and the microwave work well for me and won't be buying the TSV. I hope your visit with DH goes well.

Bernie--I have a car than you can give your attention to. I washed it yesterday while in the city but doesn't look as if it was touched. Road slush does wonders!

meallen--Thank you for the great graphic.
