Good Morning, Ladies! I only have a few minutes before I need to get ready for church, but I thought I would get our thread started.
Positive vibes and prayers going out to Arlene.
I'm trying to remember some of our posts from yesterday, and I think Jean talked about the packing cubes I ordered from eBags. I ordered my first set years ago after you wrote about them, and I love them. Thank you for your suggestion. Now my main concern is that they make it here before our trip. Fingers crossed on that one.
The birthday party yesterday was wonderful. My friend's DIL did a beautiful job with party planning (she is an engineer, and I think is involved in project management/planning). There were a couple of wonderful speeches (by her DH and one of her younger sisters), and the food was great.
DH and I had a nice walk today, and we will go to the gym after I get home from church.
I hope Jean is enjoying her time in the city today (hopefully, you made it there), Kathleen is having fun with her DH and younger DD, and Arlene is better.
Waves to Susan, twinny, Bernie, Marijane, LindaR (hope your weather is improved), snicks, Rosa, Barbara, Charlene, Karen, Gayle, pinky ann, and all of our posters and readers.
Have a good day everyone!
Hugs,
Linda

Good afternoon ladies, hope all is well.
LindaL - Thank you for starting us today, glad the party was a success. It is a good feeling when you host a party and it is successful, makes it worth the trouble. Have fun at the gym today, you are so good at your excersises.
Arlene - Hope things are better for you.
Jean - Enjoy the day in the city.
Not much going on here today, waiting for DH's daughter's family to come this afternoon. I got a lazana from Costco for supper, will have salad and bread with it. Easy meal tonight.
Well off to get a couple things done here, hope everyone has a great day.

Your dinner sounds good, Susan. Hope your DH's DD family visit goes well. We had a cake from COSTCO at the senior lunch program a couple of weeks ago, and it was delicious. I usually don't buy their prepared items since they are large and there are only the two of us. Very good idea to buy something like their lasagna for a crowd.

Linda--Thank you for starting the thread. I do hope the packing cubes arrive in time. eBags usually ships quickly so let's think positively. I'm glad that the birthday party went well yesterday and that you and DH are enjoying exercise time together.
Susan--The lasagna and salad sounds great for the company. I do hope you have a great time.
I didn't go to the city but debated it. The only things I could accomplish today would be the nails and seeing the movie. Since I have the dental appointment in the city tomorrow, I decided to have the nails done tomorrow, then see the dentist, and then perhaps a quick run to WalMart for grocery fill ins. I have a sneaky huch that I'll be going back to the dentist later in the week, so the movie can be done then.
In the meantime, I've just been relaxing and watching some things streamed from Netflix. I called my lawn person to see if he could manage removing a tree that is beginning to create problems. It has been a very relaxing day.

LindaL - thanks for starting the thread today. I'm glad that you and DH had a good time at the birthday party yesterday.
Susan - Lasagna sounds ymuuy.
Jean - it makes sense to make your trip to the city worth it's while. I tend to like to do as much as possible per outing.
The only exciting thing I did today was go grocery shopping. I picked up a top for $10 on clearance. The wind is picking up and the trees are bouncing out there. We're expecting some rocky weather tonight.

Bernie--Great buy on the top! Grocery shopping can be fun---when you discover a great buy but not so fun when the prices increase. I do hope your weather isn't too bad. The weather is great here as seen in the pic taken from my deck.

Twinny--I'm glad that you will be enjoying some cooler weather. I know it makes it much easier for you. The packing cubes make organizing and keeping things together in luggage. Also, if TSA should go thorugh your luggage, there is less disruption of the items you put in the luggage. They typically just move the cubes and look or perhaps unzip them for a quick check.
Bernie--I like that top. You made a great choice.
I just went to put some things in the car for donation when a snake slithered across my path a couple of feet away. It was one of the harmless variety.
