Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, AUG 19)

Good Morning/Afternoon! and thanks for getting us started, Jean.  I'm back from church and headed to the gym soon.  I may have the same top that you and Charlene have, but I did not look up the number when you mentioned it.  If so, that was the top I chose to wear to church this morning.  It is the zig zag dot version.  I liked confetti, but it was sold out in my size.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.  I know that I am on a journey, and I need to take my time.  I did sleep better last night, and I am eating better.  Saturday is my usual financial review day, and realize that I will need to cut back on spending now.  Definitely need to think long and hard before buying my favorite "fun" stuff like clothes and shoes.

I have been wanting to change out some of my plastic storage containers, etc. (some like Bernie's) that have seen better days.  I spent quite a while trying to decide on a file cabinet, but in the end decided that would need to wait.   I did order another one of he storage benches that I purchased when it was a TSV. Definitely better looking than the  plastic box I was using to store some important papers.

Tomorrow I should be getting my new screen door, and hopefully I will like it much better than the one I have now.

Waves to Okprincess, Charlene, Jean Lake,  Bernie, twinny, Marijane, Susan, Karen, and all of our posters and readers.  Hope Syd's excellent adventure is a smashing success, Barbara.

Hugs,

Linda

Linda--It is good that you are sleeping and eating better. It is a time of adjustment and that varies with individuals. I think SG should give us a discount for promoting that top. It is definitely a winner. A225581.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, AUG 19)

Guess who's dryer is not working?

I tossed in maybe 4 pieces to dry this morning on the way out of the door to make my Target run.

It hit me a couple of hours ago that I should fold the dried clothes.  Imagine  my surprise when I reached in and they were damp.

My washer and dryer are my favorite appliances in the house.  I thought maybe I forgot to turn the dryer on since I was thinking about Target.  I hit the start button, could hear the timer and yet the dryer isn't running.

I watched youtube videos and it sounds like the thermal fuse needs to be replaced.  If I had the part I could do it in 15 minutes.

I will be calling the appliance service people again tomorrow and it looks like they will be visiting me a second week in a row.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, AUG 19)

@Bird mama - I hope that the dryer repair is a quick and easy fix.  I hate it when items I'm happy with, need to be replaced.

@KonaKat - It just so happens that I DO own that top in the mosaic print.  Also the reddish/brown print called watercolor, and the green/beige print called paisley.  The only print that I bought and didn't like was the striped one with greens/purples.  That has become an around-the-house top, lol.  One of the reasons I like that top is that it isn't too long, so it looks good with skirts as well as pants.  I'm okay having a few of the longer "tunic" length tops in my closet, but I don't think they're as flattering on me, and I get tired of hemming liquid knit tops.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, AUG 19)

Hello everyone,

Started out today over sleeping so I was in a huge rush to meet my son and go shopping at the mall with him {he is 12 and I only see him once a week} we had lunch and then went into Macy's. He was very patient with my while I debated on buying Philosophy's Endless Summer. In the end I didn't but I sure do want it!

Birdmama, Im sorry about your dryer. My dryer is going out, It takes 2 hours to dry things. Its just a matter of time before a new one will have to enter the budget.

Good day/Evening to all. Hope your Sunday has been a blessed one.

@hsawaknow  I hope you and your son enjoyed hanging out today.  Good job on resisting the Endless Summer.
