Good morning, shopping friends. Our prayers continue for Linda and others who are dealing with a family death. Often the period surrounding the immediate death is a period of numbness, and the weeks afterwards are when grief is more painful. I saw a quote on FB this morning which said, "You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have." This is one of those times that we are tested but we make a choice to go one with memories of the loved one keeping us company.
I converted my Denim & Co. tops I really liked from check status to credit card. This morning, I got an email that the tops may no longer be available. So much for my wanting to think the purchase over and not making an impulse buy. I was told if they did not become available, my order would be cancelled. Since I remember this being the only order of t he season, my chances of gettig them are remote
I decided to order A225581, a SG top I like so much that I have it in nearly every pattern. How much do I like it? I've been ordering it since it was introduced at a much lower price and a size bigger. When I lost weight, I gave the few of them I had at that time to my niece and replaced them in a smaller size. These wear well, wash well and travel well. The last time I ordered these were still in the mid 30s, but now in the low 40s. This is one item that definitely meets the cost per wearing analysis. I got the confetti this time.
After zero sleep on Friday night, I slept 11 hours last evening. Thanks to the cortisone shot, I am without pain today. Since I work 4 days this coming week, I needed the sleep and pain relief.
Have a great day. If you shop, shop wisely.

I decided I had no need for kitchen items so I decided to watch the fashions on HSN where they are having reduced prices on shipping, etc. After a few minutes, I decided it was safer to watch ITKWD. Since they are pushing an air fryer, touted as the next best thing since the microwave, I think I am safe. Better yet, perhaps I had best retreat for an afternoon of reading.

Bernie--One of my favorite diversions from shopping lately is streaming Criminal Minds via Netflix. I'm starting season 4. The cat got me up, so I was debating what to have for dinner. I decided to fix a meatloaf in my countertop convection oven which does a great job.

Good Afternoon/Evening! Thanks so much to all of you who have sent your prayers and hugs plus beautiful messages. I do feel that I am a strong woman, but DH's death is still hitting me very hard. I got his DD up to the airport, and stopped by Wal-Mart on the way home to pick up some ibuprofen. I just finished the bottle last night. My aches and pains are shouting.
Hoping that I will do as well as you and Bernie with sleeping tonight, Jean. I slept fairly well on Thursday night, but Wednesday, Friday, and last night were very poor. And, I am having such a hard time with eating. Eating and sleeping are major goals for me at this point.
I let more people know about his death, and I have been getting lots of beautiful messages. My oldest friend just called me, and we talked for more than an hour. We agreed that we need to do that a lot more often. DH son called as well.
That is something about those D & Co. tops, Jean. I had placed one on my "wish list", and found it and two other colors were sold out. I guess we will need to wait until next year to order unless things change. Good idea to pick up the SG top you know you will love.
LIke you and Bernie, I do end up watching other programming a good bit. Sometimes it is because I am just not at all interested in the products being presented, and other times it is because I am sort of afraid that "wanty" will raise his/her ugly head.
Not to go into too many details, but DH's death will result in reduced "fun money", and I will want to use more for travel and things other than clothes, shoes and household stuff that I usually buy here.
Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers. I feel the love.
Hugs,
Linda

Linda--You are a strong woman but even strong women have their times of weakness. I think intellectually one can prepare but when a death actually occurs it is emotionally devastating. Grieving is such an individual process and there is no one right time schedule. Take time for yourself and be kind to yourself. I loved the picture of your wedding day you posted.
