SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SUNDAY, APRIL 22)

Good morning, shopping friends. It is a beautiful sunny day, but I'm not shopping today despite all the reminders Amazon has been sending me as well as other businesses.

I used to joke that I needed to be put on the TSV auto delivery as the TSV deals used to be so good and the prices then seemed so good. I even remember staying up to see what the TSV might be. I even remember some TSVs selling out at Midnight as the deal was so good. Those days are gone and I am also more selective in my buying. I rarely see a TSV that appeals to me. I think I also realized that I don't need many of the things sold or I don't need it in several colors.

I saw a pic of me taken 4 years ago, thanks to a FB reminder. I still have the jacket in the photo. It is in great condition, so I don't need another white jacket. Perhaps taking a pic of our orders and labeling it with the date would serve as a good reminder of what we actually have in our wardrobe.

Right now, I'm not watching the Q but did watch a hour earlier this morning. I've turned to Hulu to tap into a series I've been watching. Some series are like clothes; they may be oldies but they are still good if well maintained.

I'll be working the next 3 days, so I'll be getting the clothes ready this afternoon. I did get a call from the insurance company that they had approved my Echo test. Now, to get it scheduled.

Good morning/afternoon ladies, hope all is well.

Jean - Thank you for starting us today. Like you I have no need for the TSV. I have been trying to get out of the habit of buying something in 4 colors. I have done that a couple times and after wearing the shirt a couple of times, I don't like it as much as I thought. Then I realize I now have not 1 but 4 shirts I don't like. I won't tell you how much money I have wasted over the years.

Hope you have a good week subbing. I know you do enjoy it when you get a good class.

Not much going on around here, we are going to cut the grass when it warms up. Not that it feels like a nice spring day, but we do need to cut it before it rains next week.

Susan--We learn from our mistakes. Often our tastes change, so that top bought in 4 colors no longer appeals to us....or our size changes, etc. The lawn person came yesterday and did my lawn. I'm glad I didn't order any plants as our zone has been much colder than the norm.

I am on a purge mission...my closet is much more useable...have a basket of clothes that I am going to donate to a local women’s shelter. It is a good feeling,

i told Sydnie we are decluttering all of her things too. I cleaned off her dresser yesterday and she was amazed at how good it looks.

i read every day..it is fun to follow everyone. (((Hugs)))

Good Morning and thanks for getting us started, Jean. No TSV for me, and I am not planning to purchase anything else today (one day at a time). Glad it is nice and sunny there -- it is nice here as well -- warm and sunny with a few clouds. I find checking my wardrobe before purchasing anything new is often helpful. I have so much that I sometimes forget everything that I have, particularly when it is off season. Hope work goes well this week, and you get the test scheduled at a convenient time/date.

Hi Susan -- years ago I purchased multiples of things, but found that I only wore one or two from the bunch. Also, I bought so many other things that were not used or used very much -- household items, etc. I try not to dwell on the negative, so I am putting it out of my mind. Live and learn.

I know you are doing a great job in de-cluttering, Barbara. Glad Syd is happy with her dresser.

I'm back from church and headed to the gym soon. I am surprised that church is pretty well attended since I know many of our "winter visitors" go home by this time of the year. Kind of nice to have the pews still pretty well filled.

I'll be visiting DH later in the afternoon, and hope that he will be awake and smiling again.

Hi Ladies...no TSV for me today, either. I have the Ring and love it. I can see who is at the door, when deliveries are made and who the dog is barking at from my phone. It has served us well so far.

Like many of you, I have too much, so I am on the never-ending purge. I have a couple of bags ready to go, so I will load my car later. I find out of sight, out of mind and once they are packed up, I don’t change my mind on those items going.

I did get to my nephew’s T-ball game. He’s 4 and adorable...we had fun watching.

Time to get back at it...enjoy the day!!

Jean, I remember setting the alarm ⏰ at 11:00 p.m for the TSV & even for the middle of the night. They were much better prices 16 years ago. I have no idea what the TSV is ,but I don't need it.

Susan. I used to buy multiples of tops/pants year's ago, but I don't do it anymore. When I was bed bound/wheel chair bound I had to make my DH's life easier.

Sydsgma, good job at helping Sydnie clean up her room. When my mom passed away my DD & DGD helped me clean out mom's things. My DD was amazed at how many clothes my mom had. Since my DD works out of their home, she claimed that grandma had 7x more clothes than she had. It was a great lesson for my dgd to keep her room neat & orderly.

It is a beautiful 🌞🌞🌞 60's day. After church we went to a local pancake breakfast. It supports our local youth hockey league. Then I drove my moped downtown & got some of my walk in. I know my limit, so I didn't feel guilty not going as far as I sometimes do.

It is hot tub time & then neck exercise time.

Tomorrow I need to wash the floors, dust the Subaru & get ready for vacation.

Tuesday is packing day & take it easy day.

Wednesday we are off.

Karen, I never ever miss what I donate . Yes, out of sight out of mind! My DH is the one that I have to get after to clean up the garage. To me it is shameful.

Hi everybody, I also remember looking forward with anticipation to the TSV, though on the west coast, it came on at 9:00. I agree with all of you that the deals aren't that great anymore. I don't even think that the lunchtime specials are priced all that well. When I do buy things, ebay tends to be my go-to place.

Worked a long time in the yard again today. I did some weeding, some more pruning, and moved a few daylilies to a different spot. Much more still to do, but there's no more room in my compost area or the green waste bin. I was exhausted afterwards, as it was a very warm day.
