SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, NOV.20)

Hi Everyone!

It's cool, dry and  partly sunny. YIPPEE !  The hubby did leaf bagging and I brought all the glass windchimes, gazing balls, etc. in for storage. I moved the garden statues to a better area for sun catching and gathered all the mini plant trellis from the ground. I have something big kicking these over and other "visitors" using the front porch garden as a late night buffet.

I did make a list of what I had purchased (so far...) for gifts and for who or if it was an anybody gift.  Now, at least, I know what I have and for who. I do need another set of ear buds as we decided to treat ourselves to the set/s I had purchased.

It was a bit more of decluttering the garage today and rearranging. I found the old christmas tree for the porch but wonder if I should use it or trash it. It's too old to donate. I have a 3' tree for donation from the Holiday storage area. I should really put the year on the tree pole.  Well, that's a project for next weekend.

I did catch part of AM Style but didn't purchase any of the items that caught my eye. One pair of the KG jeans arrived so I have to try those on. The MukLuks cabin socks (ankle v style) arrived and are really nice. I think I will keep most of them. They should work well when I remember to put the foot cream on.

Have a good afternoon/evening.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, NOV.20)

Good afternoon ladies, hope all is well.

Fressa - Thank you for starting us today.  You have been very busy outside. DH and have all the plants cut down and all I have to do is bring in a few yard statues.  I leave my wind chimes and a few decorative wind spinners out.  I like to look out in the winter and see something colorful on the deck.  In my head it makes me think things aren't so bad when it is snowing out.

I got my booster vaccine yesterday, my arm was sore this morning and I did feel yucky until after lunch.  I feel pretty good right now and I could do something constructive, but, I'm not.

I do need to work on my Christmas presents tomorrow, I need to organize them and maybe go out and get some wrapping paper and wrap a few.  I really want to have that all done by the end of the first week of December.

Hope everyone is doing well, have a good evening.

Good Evening!  You have been busy as usual, Fressa.  Good job on the Christmas present list.  I have been considering some wireless ear buds, but decided they would not work that well with my hearing aids.  When I walk with my "Walkman" in the mornings, I don't use my hearing aids.  Sometimes that makes it difficult to hear what people say to me, but I don't have another solution at this point.

Glad the Muk Luks are nice, and I hope the jeans fit. I saw a small amount of AM Style, but didn't order anything -- thank goodness.  I really want to reduce my clothing/shoe collection rather than add to it.

Hope you continue to feel okay, Susan.  I only had a sore arm after getting my COVID booster.  That was a relief because I was not feeling well for at least 24 hours after my second vaccine.  Good idea to get the Christmas presents organized.  I finally decided I need some Christmas cards -- I had some "leftovers", but I'm not crazy about most of them.  And, there is always the possibility that I sent that one to someone last year.  I also need to buy some holiday stamps -- they didn't have much of a choice when I went to the Post Office a couple of weeks ago.  I think I will mail my cards earlier this year given the predictions about slow mail service.

Our weather is nice -- cool in the morning and highs in the 70's.  Just doing my usual Saturday chores.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Sleep well.

Hugs,

Linda

PALady---I do keep the wind spinners outside all year. I like to see which way the wind is blowing the trees around. I can only have glass windchimes because our one dog barks at the metal ones. He thinks it's the doorbell and he has an issue with that.

You're smart to start the gift wrapping with the shopping. I always seem to let that part slide and then it's another project. I use those gift bags and that is a time saver. I think I just need a work surface instead of wrapping on top of the spare room bed.

At least we finally got the outdoor covers on before the rain arrived. YIPPEE !

LindaLatte---I tried the pre-order of the Christmas stamps from the local post office and they were not accepting them locally....only the online store. I always list an alternative stamp selection so at least I have a stamp. UGH!!!!

I've really reduced the Christmas card list but I still send to close friends and family. I have a "collection" of leftover cards and have the same question running thru my head as which one I sent to who. I still go to the Hallmark store to buy the "special" cards and my "sticker shock" never disappoints me. LOL You know it's expensive when the hubby notices the total.
