Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, MAR 2)

Another reason why I prefer online shopping @KonaKat is that I don't have to see chaotic racks of clothing.  Last time I popped into a stand alone JCP it looked like all hell broke loose.  It was in January and I was seeing 'associates' milling around a talking and nobody tidying the racks. I'm all for bargain shopping but I don't want to go on a tresure hunt if you know what I mean.

When I am online everything is so organized on the page.  Woman Wink  I can imagine that I am shopping at the most organized and tidy store in existence.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, MAR 2)

Bernie--I totally agree with you. At one time, the stores used to have people that kept the displays straight, and made sure that the sizes were put back correctly...no mediums in an X-Large or whatever. The JCP in the city mall used to have aisles you could easily navigate. Now the aisles are filled with racks promoting or selling odds and ends that tie into the upcoming holiday, etc. The only customer service person you see are at the checkout counters at the entrances or in shoe department or jewelry. Have a question? Don't bother.

Now, go to Kohls on the other side of the city and you will find a store that used to be like JCP...clean, wide aisles, well organized, etc. and customer service reps that float through the store to provide help and organize things customers don't put back properly. We have a great Kohls but I know not all are like this. The difference can also be seen in the parking lot at JCP; it definitely isn't full like it once was.

As much as I like buying online, I will not purchase groceries for the store to fill the order for me to pick up. I want to pick out my own bananas, etc.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, MAR 2)

Jean, sorry for your  painful night. I get a charley horse if I over extend while adjusting the radio while I am in bed.  Dumb thing to do I know.

Linda L, I am sorry that you are still struggling with your cold.  It sounds like your weather is getting better which is a good thing in your area.

Bird Mama, I liked your JCP clothing selections.  Prayers going out to Bella too.

Marijane, I am glad that you have hot water again.  Are you sending our ds & ddil a big snow storm?

I got up later than was planned.  Getting some extra sleep was more important than watching ams.  Then I made rhubarb strawberry muffins for breakfast.

I like the thought of going shopping, but I soon get tired. I am looking forward to going

JCP & Kohl's on Thursday before we go to our 2 dgs's band concert.  Then I would like to go to DSW & Home Goods on Friday as we start heading for home.  We are going to have an early birthday supper with our dgd before the band concerts.  It sounds like everybody can go for supper which is good because it seems like the dgc are going in 3 different directions.

It was cloudy, but it's a nice sunny day now and we had a dusting of snow overnight.  It's supposed to get cold on Monday for a few days, then nicer for the rest of the week.  As long as we don't get rain again, I am happy.

Our Pastor's youngest daughter (9) is in the hospital with an eating disorder.  It's been ongoing for several months and they have seen many Dr's & specialists, but can't figure out what the problem is.  She had a feeding tube for quite months a while ago & had another one put in yesterday.  I did a little shopping for her this morning and got a gas card for the family live an hour away from the hospital.

I steam mopped the floors and they really look nice again.  Now if we can keep them that way.

Twinny--The muffins sound so good. I do hope your shopping trip to Kohls and JCP goes well. Shopping at one or two stores doesn't make me tired but making the rounds of severalis guaranteed to wipe me out. So sorry about your pastor's daughter.

@twinny70  reading that a 9 year old has an eating disorder because she doesn't like what she looks like brings tears to my eyes.  What is wrong with us as a society, as a people, that our babies feel like they are a failure or don't measure up at the age of 9.  I will pray for her.
