Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, AUGUST 22)

SNICKS, I have several pairs of boots, so don't need the TSV. I like low boots with fur lining just to keep my feet warm & taller ones also with fur lining to walk in the snow or when it is really deep. I balanced the checkbook yesterday. Not a job that I like when things don't match up. I also did laundry yesterday. I hung two large loads out on the lines yesterday & then the sprinkles came. Good thing it quit quickly. DH is out starting the mower as he hasn't mowed for 5 weeks. He needs to do a touch up before we leave on Monday. LINDA R, Sorry about the propane running out. We have fuel oil & the gauge is very accurate. Knock on wood for me. Have fun at the Cheesecake Factory. Our capitol city is supposed to be getting one in October. I haven't been to any before. FHG, I hope that you enjoy your upcoming classes. It won't be long & you will be all done. Have fun in the pool while you can. I haven't checked Amazon as I think I can find a card tomorrow or on our mini vacation. I would get the church guy to take a look at things. He probably won't care if you aren't going there or not. JEAN, I know that you love subbing so I hope that you will be able to finish this year & maybe do a bit next year. Whatever feels right for you. Having cooler weather than normal weather is nice when you get a smaller light bill.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, AUGUST 22)

Jean i found a place to live the first day we were there. I found 2 places, one 6 miles from his work down a back road but not in a very populated area. It was slightly higher $20/mo and exec was a little higher. The first place I went to was 9 miles down a well traveled (traffic) road but lots and LOTS of shopping and restaurants. I left the choice up to him and he picked the one i preferred, and as we left it we discovered a back road!

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, AUGUST 22)

Hello all - I went to lunch with my sister this afternoon and spent several hours window shopping and browsing some stores in a center that was laid out like a strip mall.  I went into a place called Kirklands (home decor) and bought 4 bird nick nacks :-).  I then went into TJ Maxx - was not impressed, the Christmas Tree Store (picked up some candy), Target (wow - it's gone downhill for me - when did their stuff get so cheap?).  My sister and I laughed - ALOT.

Jean - I'm glad that you are getting work.  I'm kind of surprised that subs are needed this early in the year.

Kathleen - it sounds like you are adjusting fairly well to having move again.  Have you lived in an RV a long time? I can see how having any pets could be a problem.

LindaL - I am happy that you are finding people who can sympathize and relate to the journey that you are on with your dear husband.  Feeling all alone is overwhelming and stressful.

Twinny - I just want to hug you and your DH.  You are so cute and I want to hear all about your next little trip when you return.

Snicks - weather is perfect here for another day.  Take it easy on the lawn (wink).

LindaR - how goes the plumbing - did they finish everything?  I agree with you, when you are a homeowner, there is ALWAYS something.

Arlene - How does the sister of the former friend know anything about what is going on between you and her sister?  Aside from not having time to learn facebook, maintain a facebook page and worry about security settings on facebook, I don't do facebook because there's too much drama :-0

Linda, i hope you are having a wonderful time at the cheesecake factory. What did you have? Our local mexican good had their cheesecake but it's frozen and the most disappointing I've ever had. I started tacos tonight and did not have the sauce. Steve made pork chops and they were great. I made pasta salad earlier and fruit salad too. Those red raspberries are so tasty.

Linda I'm so glad you had a friend to talk to who has experience in that area. It makes me happy to know you are seeking support and doing things that bring you joy. I've been ok today, had a good day and just did a little at a time. Fine with Good, New my clothes jewelry and shoes.

Bernie--Glad you had a great outing today. I've never been impressed with the Targets I've seen.

Kathleen--I knew that you had some possible sites in mind but didn't know that you had decided upon one. Let me guess--the one with the shopping and restaurants handy, but perhaps I'm reading myself into that.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, AUGUST 22)

Jean, you are correct! I prefer Rupp be nearer the grocery and convenience stores and the first one i went to just gave me a good vibe.

Bernie, last year DHs 20 year job slowly ended, after they promoted him to plant manager and implemented all sorts of cost saving changes. He took a month of and was offered 6 months severance or a job at a sister company 250 miles away. So we bought a very modest sized 5 th wheel and moved it yup there. I stayed here until january because i had a job i really loved. So i lived in the rv with him full time for 6 months and loved it but we both hatred our jobs and hated to be so far from our girls.

I loved the rv. I did have to exercise my dog a lot but she will chase anything i throw for her. The rv life was a lot calmer than being at home where i always feel like there should be a dozen this i should be doing.
