SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SATURDAY, APR 4)

Greetings, shopping friendss. It is a beautiful sunny day and it would be a good day to do some work in the sun. The only problem, however, is that I am not motivated to do it.

Right now, I'm listening to Gov. Ciuomo give his update on what is transpiring in NY. i see this as a forecase of what might lie ahead for other states. Hopefully steps are being taken, implemented and followed by people in order to ****** this bug. The problem is that many people believe they are exempt and don't want to change their lifestyle.

I haven't ordered anything other than some cat treats and food from Amazon. The box is currently enjoying the sunshine on my deck before I open it tomorrow on the deck. I do have a couple of masks that an LPN made for me to use when venturing out. I will add a coffee filter for added protection but I think the idea is more to protect others from us should we be asymptomatic carriers of the bug. Who know?

Hi Everyone!

It's cool and partly sunny today. The ground is mostly dry so the dogs are enjoying playing ball without mud.

The pollen count is high again today and my migraine is bad. I hope to get a little somethng accomplished and cook dinner.

I did order the Beekman liquid soap again. I noticed a difference in my hands when I started using this. Heck, even my husband said he liked the "stuff". I usually just pour some Philosophy into our soap dispensers but noticed that my hands would get so dry when I was cooking in the kitchen. I'm always washing my hands or cleaning something out there. That's when I decided to give the Beekman a try. It seems to make a difference for me there. I use the soap rockettes in the bathrooms and the Philosophy in the kitchenette. Using up all the stock in the cleaning closet. I'm starting to see empty spots so that's good.

Good Morning/Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Jean. It is sunny and warm here, so I'm really looking forward to my walk around the neighborhood.

For the first time in ages, I washed my car this morning. I had stopped doing it myself since the hose is on the other side of the house from the carport, and it was difficult to keep up the water pressure through two or more hoses going across the front yard. Plus, there were several cactus in the way, and I usually ended up attracting some thorns. Also, I found a very nice carwash. But, I had not taken the car in for a while, and decided to wash it before the sun got on the car. I also did some cleaning of the interior which has suffered from years in the sun. I even used a product I got from here (Jay Leno's garage). As I was finishing the job, a friend of mine called, and we must have talked for 90 minutes or so. Yikes!

I need to do my regular Saturday chores -- laundry and weekly financial review.

Glad you have found some soap that works for you Fressa. Sorry about the migraines.

I still have not found the missing hearing aid, and I am pretty sure it is gone for good. But, I found that my insurance will help pay for new ones right now -- I don't need to wait until August. I thought the rule was three years from time of purchase, but the agent told me that since I got them in 2017, I was eligible to get new ones in January of 2020. Not sure my audiologist is seeing patients at this time, and I will need to pay the amount not covered by insurance. So, I'm not sure when I will try to set an appointment. I will wait a few days to decide.

Meanwhile, I got an e-mail from the tour company saying that I could ask for a refund for the England/Scotland tour, but I would lose the money insurance I purchased and maybe some other fees. Also, the airline would probably charge $300 or so for the cancellation. On the other hand, I could have a credit for the tour, and hope the airline gives me a credit for the flight. That is not certain since under current rules, the airfare is not credited for more than a year. Another decision that I am postponing for the time being.

A couple of ladies (I think sisters) from my church gave an on-line concert yesterday evening, and it was very good. I think they are considering other concerts in the future.

Fressa--Enjoy the TSV. It is good that you have experienced it and like it.The pollen count is high here also. It is one of those times that you hope sneezing is from allergies and not COVID-19.

Linda--You lucked out with the hearing aid replacement. Big decision about the trip. You mentioned the Leno product I have seen it promoted and wondered how good it was. My car could use a good cleaning also.

I have two months estimated before I can be seen about the rotator cuff issue; the MRI verified some tears. I need to get some things done around here but have to pace myself and watch carefully what I do and how I do it. I read in detail what is involved in recovery from surgery, so I hope the next two months will show improvement.

Linda---Thanks for reminding me about washing the car. I was just thinking about that the other day and then forgot it again. I swear....if I don't put it on a post it note I'm done. LOL I have tat Jay Leno kit that you do. I was very pleased with the products as well. Maybe I'll hose off the cars tomorrow and get the winter grunge off them. I'm hoping for another decent weather day like today. Fingers crossed.
