Hey ladies! Wow have I missed talking to you this week! Its hard for me to get on because of work, then after work a few nights a week I go to the gym(I'm down 3 pounds) and on Weds I bowl for the summer. In the fall I go back to Fridays. I had a busy day today. I went to my zumba class, came home, ate lunch and took a shower, got a mani and pedi and then went food shopping. Came home and cut up my strawberries and washed my blue berries. I also bought bananas peaches and plums. I don't remember the last time I had a plum. My parents are out with friends so I have the house to myself. I just finished a bowl of Special K and am now gonna have some blueberries and am catching up on my Walker Texas Rannger episodes that I have saved on the DVR.

Hello Friends! Good save with the phone Jean! Stevie called me crying when her brand new phone had it's screen cracked. She had paid more for that phone than I ever would have. Luckily it ended well as there are lots of screen repair service places.

Karen it is still brutal hot here. The dog days of summer we call them, where all we want to do is lay around. And everywhere we go the AC is too cold. It's been a cooler summer than usual but def not the best time of the year to visit unless you are like Jean and enjoy the triple digits!

Marijane I like the IM line. We are not doing anything too special, just enjoying time together. We did go out for lunch and made a couple returns but town is VERY busy with freshmen moving into dorms this weekend. Everywhere was packed.

Gayle I'm so happy your visit is past you, now you can put your feet up and let DH be sweet to you! Be kind to yourself. I told one of our dorm directors that yesterday and she insisted there was no time, and I told her to just light a candle. I know for some it's silly but it does something for me.

Jean that is so sweet about the note from the former student. You have been inspiring to me and taught me so much about shopping, buying and the "gimmicks" that I fall for. I've no doubt that you likely inspired a few generations in your teaching career. I've had great luck with LG in the past. We are on Samsung phones now and I am too cheap to buy new so it will be a dinosaur when I'm done with it.

Linda, you are so faithful with doing your money routine every week. I hope I can make that a habit too. My Grandma absolutely loved Sedona. She lived in "Gila Bend" for several years. I share your disgust with the price of college books. DD has gotten wise and doesn't order them in advance any more, but waits and gets some on Amazon (rents). It is a good deal, and gets a little cash back in the end.

Karen I'm glad you treated yourself at the mall. I went today and got 2 tops at American Eagle - one tank that was really cute and one long loose weave sweater - it wasn't even hot. I had to return 3 things and ended up even.

Twinny we are still waiting for surgery bill. I've no idea what we will end up paying, but I j ust try to remind myself how lucky we are to have insurance.

Gina do you like plum jam? I make some every year for Christmas and have a cupboard full!

I've had a nice day with DH. We did go to town had lunch stopped at Sam's for a couple things and that's about it. It was nice to get out but nice to get home. I tried a pork roast and it was a huge success! Nice and juicy and tender. I'm getting my second wind now and need to pick up clean up something. ha ha!
