SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SAT, MAY 1)

Greetings, shopping friends. It is a beautiful sunny but nippy day.

I have been negligent at checking in, basically because I have been on the laptop to pay bills or to send messages. most of which are copy and paste to people as it is tiring.

I don't know when the Alaska trip will be. I can't do it this coming week and the proposed new week is not approved by my niece's supervisor.

I haven't checked into the Q much as my needs are few. I see they are offering the Periea storage boxes of which I have 2 sets.

I am gettting tired,so I will be heading to read and rest.

Have a great day. If you shop, shop wisely.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SAT, MAY 1)

Hi Everyone!

KomKat---It was good to see your post. I hope you continue to feel a bit better each day.

The rain has finally left our area. It was windy yesterday I was crossing my fingers that all the trees would survive. Today is sunny but cool. Yippee. We'll have some outside cleanup work on the schedule. I still have to vacuum the lower level. It's shedding season for the dogs. UGH!!

I was up earlier than usual for a Saturday so I watched most of AM Style.  A few items caught my eye but I refrained from ordering. I was tempted with the Koolaroo short pj set. I had ordered a louneg set from that brand months ago. It's soft and comfy and stretchy but it isn't the feel of a Stan Herman pj. You know how you find a favorite brand and then nothing else seems "just right"? I fear that Stan Herman won't be on very much.

Yesterday I finally received the Candace tees that were the TSV. I still have to try them on but the blush color is coral. (not my color for sure) If it fits, I think I'll still keep it because I need tees. (I really decluttered that closet shelf..ha ha!) I also received the Sketchers that I ordered from my DIL. They look nice and do stretch without feeling stiff. I'm hoping she likes them and they fit.

I noticed that MaryBeth Roe was on Q2 Live and I thought I saw an alert for Carolyn as well. Did I miss the announcement of more live programs on this channel? I hope this doesn't mean we won't see either of them on the main channel. They are two of my favorites.

Have a good afternoon/evening.

Hello all, I'm sorry that your trip to Alaska is delayed Jean.

Fressa, I can't keep track of the Q's extra channel programming, lol.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (SAT, MAY 1)

Good Morning/Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Jean.  It is warm/hot and sunny here with a high of 92 degrees expected.  I took my walk early, and it was comfortable.

Very sorry the date of your trip is sort of in limbo due to your niece's supervisor.  Hope that you work out the details soon, and you will feel much better when you take the trip.

Hi Fressa.  Too bad about the color of one of the T-shirts you ordered.  Sometimes it is difficult to tell the real color from what is on the screen or computer.  Hope your DIL likes the Sketchers.  I don't watch much Q2, but I don't think either Mary Beth or Carolyn are moving to that channel.  At least, I hope not.  I think they are having more live shows on Q2, but their schedule is not in the "TV Guide" I have from the newspaper, and I don't usually check the on-line schedule.

Hi Bernie!  Hope it is warm enough to mow there this weekend.

I heard from my friend Bev that her cancer is back big time, and that the doctor isn't hopeful that she will live very long -- with or without chemo.  Since she is concerned about the side effects of chemo interfering with the time she has left, she has decided against having the treatments.

She asked for, and I promised to request prayers and good thoughts for her.  She plans to meet with her priest plus a counselor who helped when she was dealing with her late husband's decline/death.

We had set up a group (former Caregivers) lunch at the pizza place in 10 days or so, but the two of us are meeting at Culver's for ice cream (I think they call it custard) next Tuesday afternoon.  So far, she isn't in pain, and I hope that continues to be the case.

Nothing at all exciting going on here. I like the TSV shorts, but I only wear shorts in the house, and the price is way too high for "house only shorts".    I hope any who order them like them very much.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.

Hope everyone has a nice evening and sleeps well.

Hugs,

Linda

Oh Linda, I'm sorry to read about Bev and I will certainly include her in my prayers.

Jean, I am sorry that your Alaska trip is still in limbo & you are still not feeling well.

Linda L, prayers are coming your way for your friend Bev.  Enjoy the Culver's custard.  I like the chocolate, but we don't have it more than once or twice a year & we share the small one.

Bird Mama and Fressa,  it feels like we are in the Windy City.  There is a wind advisory until 7:00 p.m., but it's in the 80's & I am looking forward to cooler weather next week.  Summer is coming way to quick for me.

Hugs to all of you.
