SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (MONDAY, OCTOBER 5th)

Good Morning/Afternoon!  Hope everyone is having a good Monday so far.  It is another hot and dry day here in southern Arizona with a high of 99 degrees predicted. They are saying it may be cooler starting next weekend, and I hope that is true.  Our weather has been 10 degrees or so hotter than normal lately, and we have had record high temperature days already  for October.

I love Fall when the leaves change, etc., but can only look at Fall pictures on the internet these days.  I have my Fall decorations up.

My American Revolution OLLI class starts soon, and I am looking forward to it.

Nothing else of interest is going on here. I had a nice walk this morning when it was cool enough for me to wear a very light jacket.  It does cool down at night, which is good.

No TSV for me, but I hope any of you who order like it very much.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Have a nice day, and please post if you have a chance.

Hugs,

Linda

P.S. One of DH's old friends called me yesterday evening (he does this every month or two), and told me that people in Maryland (at least his part) are taking COVID precautions to heart -- wearing masks and social distancing.  That was good to hear.

Hi Linda @LindaLatte  There's not much going on in my neck of the woods.  I'm happy to see the sun shine after a few gloomy days.  I paid some bills online and ordered food from my birds that will be delivered by the local Pet Supplies Plus.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

Happy Monday @LindaLatte, it is hard for me to imagine your warm temps. It is in the 50's here and breezy. I got my walk in late morning and enjoyed being outdoors and seeing the colorful leaves.

Just finished lunch--sweet potato, pork chop, and corn. Nothing special planned for the day, will do a few household chores now. I did watch my soap opera too.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (MONDAY, OCTOBER 5th)

Hi Everyone!

It's another overcast but semi cool day here. YIPPEE! Tomorrow it is forecasted to warm up for the remainder of the week. I have put bathing the dogs on the "to do" list for this week. we had a surprise heavy rain storm in the middle of the night with some winds. It was so loud that I thought it might have been hail. I got up a few times to check the driveway drain. I did not blow leaves yesterday so of course we had rain. Thank heavens all was fine.

I'm doing laundry today and will pay bills tomorrow. I organzied my desk a bit with the misc. stacks of paperwork that seem to accumulate by the end of the week. I sent my reminder for a prescription refill to the doctor's office. It will be ready for pick up tomorrow. That system works well for the ones that can not be placed on the auto fill list.

I was able to watch a bit of AMStyle this morning while the dogs were having their breakfast. Nothing caught my eye which really surprised me. Every little diversion helps me stay on budget.

Have a good afternoon/evening.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (MONDAY, OCTOBER 5th)

Linda L,  it was extra hot here in July & Aug.  It's going to be a beautiful sunny 70's  week.  I   hope that you enjoy your OLLI class.  It's nice to hear that some states are taking this virus seriously.  Our state is still in a bad way.    Lots  of it is coming from a NH & a large corp.    We are under a masking mandate until Nov. 21st.     Most people are obeying.  If only the higher ups would do the same thing.

I  went to the Dentist this morning for a filling & go back this afternoon to try the partial in. One more time & I will be done.  The Pandemic caused things to take so long from start to finish.

My DH just came back from the hearing aid center & had to have one of his hearing aids sent in to be cleaned.  Ugh!  He now has to go see the local ear specialists every 4-6 weeks to get them cleaned.  The hot weather is the cause of the wax build up.

We are heading out at 7:00 tomorrow morning for a day trip.  It's a big deal to me as we haven't been anywhere but the grocery stores, pharmacy, Eye Dr., Dentist appts  & Dt. appts.  since last September.  We are not staying in a motel & It will be drive thru lunch & dinner.  It will just be a nice day out to see some beautiful Fall colors.good.  If this works out for us, we will be taking another day trip on Thursday.

Hugs to all of you.

RetRN, your lunch is one of our favorites for dinner.  We almost had it for dinner tonight, but the afternoon dental appointment changed my mind.

Bird Mama, I am sending you a week of fabulous weather.  It doesn't get better than this, until the snow ❄❄❄ flies.

fressa, It looks like you have another busy week.  I am glad that the leaves didn't do any damage.  We do most of our rx's by mail order and we have been very satisfied.    They are here in 4 days.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (MONDAY, OCTOBER 5th)

Good evening, everyone! I subbed today in special ed, which had an autistic first grade girl who is nonverbal, and is known to lose it easily. She bit a teacher last year, and the teacher had to go to the hospital as it was a bad bite. We basically got along fine today but that was sheer luck today.  When it rains it pours; I am booked to work every day but Wednesday this week.

I sent the Earth boots back. They were beautiful but for me they did not have enough toe room. It seems the Amazon shoes have been my luck in ordering.

Really envy all of you getting to getting to look at the fall colors. I am a transplant to Charleston SC and while I  do love my beautiful city . I grew up in Maine and miss the distinct change of seasons all but the snow don't miss that at all.
