SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (MONDAY, AUGUST 9)

Hi Everyone!

It's hot, humid and sunny with a chance of a thunderstorm. We have storms forecasted for the next 4 days. It has been raining and some thunder at night over the weekend. It sure helps with the watering now if it would only help with the weeding.

I started to replace the old solar lights with the new ones for the parking pad yesterday but it was just to hot to do another section of the front. Of course, I thought that the new lights would mean that I only required four but today I put in the fifth. I figure that I'll tweak the spacing once it cools down. I'm going to repurpose the old ones on the back hill once i see which ones still works. I stuck them all in an empty planter by the side door to check at night. (whenever I remember to do that) So much for my simple project. LOL

It was a surprise to see Katrina on this morning but I like her sense of style. It doesn't necessarily work for my lifestyle but she explains the details which is great. I'm still debating on two items to replace those that have been throw away. I may end up with just ordering pajams and getting that drawer replenished. I usually order pj's when I see Stan Herman but he's not been on for many months.

I did make a pass thru all the boots, tennis shoes and sandals that I have. I've done a decent job with the boots and the tennis shoes with decluttering but the sandals are all over the place. I seem to have two styles that call my name--either the stretch straps on the cushion bottom or strappy suede sandals with a flat bottom. (most of which are pink) I think this will be my diversion project as I tackle the cedar closet.

Have a good afternoon/evening.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (MONDAY, AUGUST 9)

Good Morning/Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Fressa.  We had a thunderstorm yesterday evening, and they are predicted for most of the week.  The high temperatures are supposed to be lower than usual (not cool, but), which is good.  Nice to get the rain, but weeds are certainly popping up everywhere.

Sounds like you have a good plan for the solar lights.  I do the same thing when I'm not sure about a light (put it in a planter).  Some are fine, but others go directly to the trash after that experiment.

I really like Stan Herman and have several of his robes.  Hope he will be on again soon.  Good luck with the sandal sorting.  I have tons of sandals since they are useful here so much of the year.  But, I have overdone it for sure.  I managed to find another couple of things to donate yesterday, and I'm trying to keep up the sorting.

This morning I had my last of four chair yoga classes, and it went okay.  And, this afternoon I am picking up my hearing aid.  My walk this morning was fine (not too hot).  No other plans except perhaps going to a grocery store I haven't visited since COVID.  It is further from the house, and has some items the closer grocery does not have.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Hope everyone has a nice evening and sleeps well.

Hugs,

Linda
