Hi Everyone!
It's raining and cloudy but not too hot. the entire week is to be the same. I guess the tomatoes will approve. I made homemade salsa on Sunday with most of them. It's been years since I've had tomatoes growing in the yard. So nice.
We discovered over the weekend that the bad storm we had bent some of our siding on the house where the jumbo tree fell, Guess the adjuster decided it wasn't a big deal. I'm so dispointed with that ordeal. I'm putting that on the 2022 list of projects. I can't even think about it or the lack of insurance pay out for our damages.
The donation pick up was completed this afternoon. I think I will try to have two more from that cedar closet. I'm giving myself a few days off to rest the knees and legs and then I'll make another round thru the cedar closet. I'm beginning to see some space in the spare room so I'm thrilled that there's a sign of progress.
I did watch some of the Fall Fest but most of it was repeat programs. That seems to be the safe bet for me because by then the items that I like are usually sold out. I like the decorating ideas. I try not to decorate the same way twice but I do keep with the same color schemes.....most of the time.
I was pleased to see part of the D & Co program this morning while I was doing some laundry. A few items caught my eye but I didin't order. I still have a car full of items that need to be edited. I'm determined that I'm not ordering any more clothing this year. That will be a challenge for sure. I still need pajamas so that's my exception. That drawer is looking pretty sad. LOL
Have a good afternoon/evening.

Good Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Fressa. Glad it isn't too hot there. Very sorry to hear about your siding damage and insurance issues. While I have an excess of clothing, I really don't think that I could hold off purchasing until the end of the year. Hope you are successful in limiting purchases to pajamas. Glad one set of the donations is done.
It is sunny and 90 degrees here now, but they have predicted a 40% chance of thunderstorms. Flash flood warnings have been extended through tonight, but flooding has not been an issue in my immediate area.
It was okay on my walk this morning (not too hot), and I had a nice phone conversation with my financial adviser. I've done a little cooking and a short exercise DVD, but need to do more of both this afternoon.
Waves to all of our posters and readers. Hope everyone has a nice evening and sleeps well.
Hugs,
Linda
P.S. If you happen to see this thread, Glenda -- please check in to let us know how you are doing. I miss your posts.

Good afternoon ladies, hope all is well.
Fressa - Thank you for starting us today. I am sorry about your siding, too bad they did not catch it or were not more concerned about it. Good job on the donations, I have to start working on that again. Like you I am trying not to buy any clothes right now, I know this fall I may have to. I cleaned out shirts at the end of the winter season and have not thought about much after that. I have quite a few of Denim and Company shirts, I will have to start checking out their shows.
Not much has been going on today or for the last month for the most part. I had a problem signing in to the boards and just left it go. So today, I had to change my password and it let me sign in. Guess I did not do anything about it because it irrated me to do it. I know, cut off my nose to spite my face.
I haven't been doing much, DH and I went to a state park by us one day for a few hours because we just wanted to get out of the house. I am frustrated by the covid number are going up and I really don't want to be indoors with a large group right now. We have a busy week this week, but I am trying to find someplace to go near by next week that doesn't have a large crowd. Again, we are not having our Labor Day Party here, oh well maybe next year.
Well off to make some tea, have a good afternoon everyone.

Glad you are doing okay, Susan. That is funny about being irritated enough just to stop posting for a while. I was extremely frustrated when I needed to change my "name" every day, and I think I just didn't bother a couple of days for that reason. Hope you find a nice place to go where you won't be in crowds.

Hello all, not much going on with me. We had drizzling rain on and off throughout the afternoon. It wasn't hot so I won't complain about the rain. I think the heat and humidity are gonna ramp up starting tomorrow thanks to tropical storm Fred (?). Glad I got the yard work done over the weekend. Our numbers are going up here too. These days people exhaust me.
Hey @twinny70 did you take a trip that I forgot about Glenda?

PAlady---The sign in problem with boards irritates me as well. Worse than that is finally receiving my order from QVC without any invoice inside, UGH!!! My head spins with can I assume that they just didn't print it or dose someone else have my invoice? I know it's small on the grand scale of matters but honestly neither of those situations should be an ongoing situation with such a mega retailer.
It was good you got out a bit for a few days. It can get to feel like it's nothing much to do but then the list never seems to end. At some point life has got to bet back to normal.
Have a good afternoon.
