SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, OCT.22)

Hi Everyone!

Jean--Sorry to hear that you have covid. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

We had a tornado watch last night and heavy thunderstorms. We missed the tornado but the winds brought down two tree branches. The Fall porch decorations were looking pretty sad strewn all over the place. We'll make another close look tomorrow when the sun comes out (fingers crossed)

I've been watching quite a bit of the QVC Holiday programming. I'm still nursing a case of the flu. I sure didn't have this on the schedule for this week. On the upside I've been getting decorating ideas and a few more Christmas presents ordered. I hope to reorganize the pantry if I feel up to it this aftrnoon. I've got to do at least one little thing while I'm under the weather or I can't sleep at night.

I sent the hubby to the grocery store for milk and few items. The Charmin toilet paper section was empty. Milk was up by 93cents ,Pop Tarts were up by 50 cents. Chips (both taco and flavor) were still on sale for BOGO.

Both websites where I order the dog food & treats had notices about supplies going quickly so order now. I'll place an order this weekend now that I have the supersize L&L for safe keeping.

Stay safe from these storms moving around the country.

Have a good afternoon/evening.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, OCT.22)

Good afternoon ladies, hope all is well.

Fressa - Thank you for starting us today.  Hope you are feeling better soon.  I haven't been watching much of the Q.  I have limited Christmas decorations because we have to get them down from the attic in the garage and that is a pain with the ladder.  Hope you get your pantry done.

Not much happening here, we did have 3 tornados lastnight.  Not around us, but south of us.  No one was hurt so that was a good thing.

Today was shopping and the wash, can't get much more exciting than that.  Off to do something else constructive, have a good afternoon everyone.

I think we're expecting rain tonight or tomorrow or both, I can't remember what the guy said.  I had a strange dream that had me up before 5 am, I just stayed up so I imagine I will be sleepy earlier than usual.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, OCT.22)

Good Afternoon.  I had started the thread about the same time as you did Fressa.

This is what I posted --

Good Morning/Afternoon! Hope everyone is having a nice Friday.  Our weather is nice as far as I am concerned -- chilly at night and for my morning walks, and warm/hot in the afternoon.  I have not needed AC or heat for the past several days.

Nothing new from Jean, but I will let you know if there is anything new.  I am not sure whether Barbara has posted here, but the good news is that her DH is home and being evaluated for the treatments he needs.  Barbara is having a difficult time with caregiving, but is happy to have him there.

The hospice supplies were not ready until late, but fortunately there were fewer and no new patients.  So, I finished by 5:30 which was the deadline I set.

Today, a group of "newcomers" are having a brown bag picnic at the place I call the garden club park.  I'm looking forward to participating.  After the picnic, I plan to go to the gym.

I am not watching the Q today since I don't need any more jewelry and don't want to be tempted.  Hope any of you who find something like it very much.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Hope everyone has a nice evening.  Please post if you have a chance.

Hugs,

Linda

-------------------

Sorry you aren't feeling well, Fressa.  Also sorry you had some storm/wind issues.  At least no tornadoes for you or for Susan.  Glad you are getting some shopping done.

I guess I am the lucky one with no storms predicted.  Sorry you got up early, Bernie.  That is a problem for me many days.

The picnic was nice, and I'm still planning to go to the gym.

LindaLatte--Great minds---If we ever think of the same number we could hit the lottery!!LOL

So glad your hospice deliveries went better yesterday. Like you..I've never liked driving at night and avoid it all the time.

Glad the picnic was enjoyable!
