Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, MAR 6)

[ Edited ]

@LindaLatteLinda,  I got the leopard. I do wish a snake print had been an option. I already had a black pair but despite being called black it is more of a dark charcoal gray. I think it is important for people to get back into a routine after a loved one dies. I am sure that you are a great support to those who are experiencing a new life style.

@Bird mama  Bernie--I think you can agree with my assessment of Mother Nature. You definitely are a great stylist and know how to benefit from JCP's bargains. You have a knack for putting outfits together and making many combinations. Let me guess you could go to Europe for two weeks with just a carryon! I can't because I'm too short to comfortably lift a bag and put it in the overhead.

@cerbCharlene, it is a success that you are maintaining and not gaining with the stress involved with DH's diagnosis and surgery. If a regular elliptical is difficult to use, perhaps a mini-elliptical like the Cubi Jr. would be easier to use. You sit in a chair to use it. Check it out on QVC and Amazon. Midnight is napping on my bed, ignoring his pet beds.

@FressaCleaning bathrooms is no fun but it has to be done. Sorry about the broken planters. I enjoy seeing other people's successes with gardening but my green thumb has now turned to brown.

I made the run to the drugstore which is not one of my favorite chores. I am now taking a break from the exercising. I checked and saw that in Februray I had exercised every day. It is a habit now. I got in 15,000 steps yesterday but don't expect that everyday.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, MAR 6)

I have an update on my shoe choice Woman Very Happy

Each of the shoe styles that I featured in my earlier post were straight up synthetic materials.  Each style cost $49.99 before state tax.  DSW would have shipped each for free so there was no cost for that.

So I was putzing around looking at various T strap shoes and came across a style from Franco Sarto.  I have a pair of espadrille wedges by Franco Sarto that I love so much when I wore out the first pair, I bought another just like it. (It was called the Merona 2 Heart)

Style Jaya T.  Even better is that it's a lower heel than the other shoes.

Franco Jaya Pump

The Franco Sarto website came up when I was looking for this style because other stores wanted around $100 for a pair.  I'm not paying $100.

These are leather shoes and the Franco Sarto website had them on sale for $49.99.  For giggles, I went to the bottom of their home page and signed up for emails and waited Woman Wink  They sent me a 15% off first purchase email and I applied it to these shoes.

They also offered free shipping.  So, I ended up with leather t-straps for $45.00 including state tax.  Used paypal on this order.

While I was mulling over my JCP wish list, I decided I don't really need either blouse.

I think this one could go with the skirt (tucked in) and I have the coordinating cardi/shrug to match.

I'm really trying to shop wisely.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise
