SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, MAR. 11)

Good Morning, Ladies!   We are expecting sunny and warm weather here today -- just what I like.  But, tomorrow should be much cooler with a chance of rain.

The hospice nurse came yesterday afternoon, and he answered some questions I had.  We also discuss lots of other things related to our church, the area, etc.  I have grown to like him despite a bad first impression.

DD decided on the pink TSV, and I have ordered it for her.  Hope she enjoys it.  She received my card yesterday -- I asked them to hand stamp, etc., but she said the envelop was very torn up, etc.  At least the card was in tact along with the money I enclosed.

I know you are going through quite a lot, twinny -- I am thinking of you.

So sorry about the layoffs at your work, Bernie.  Even if you keep your job, it is very unsettling when others are "escorted out".  Would certainly put a new perspective on spending.  When I was pretty new at the government, they were threatening a "reduction in force", and I would have probably lost my job.  That would have been a real problem since my ex wasn't working.  Thank goodness, that did not happen in my agency, but it did in several other agencies.  Later on, my boss was one who had lost her job -- she had moved to another State, etc., but later found a job in my agency and moved back.  A lot of disruption.

Waves to Jean (working today), Kathleen, Arlene, twinny, Bernie, snicks, spix, Susan, Marijane, LindaR, Charlene, Rosa, Barbara, Karen, Gayle, pinky ann, and all of our posters and readers.

DH goes to the club today, and I have my semi-annual osteoporosis IV this morning.  Plan to go to the gym and stores later.

Have a good day everyone, and please post if you have a chance.

Hugs,

Linda

Good morning all and thanks to @LindaLatte for starting us. Good luck with your IV, glad you like the hospice nurse after the bad start. Glad the card and money were still intact although the envelope was torn, for your DD. Enjoy your gym and shopping today while DH is at his club.

I am just about ready to run errands, including dropping off a carload of donations. May do a bit more on the bathroom project I have going, later today unless my errands wear me out, which happens sometimes. No clue what dinner will be tonight, something with chicken, lol. Waves to everyone....

LindaL:  Hope your treatment has a positive result.  One benefit of hospice is having immediate access to medical personnel.  Please don't hesitate to call on them when you feel a need.

Rained during the night again---I know we need the rain.  Tremendous number of low water crossings closed due to water.  I have to cross over a creek---but fortunately rarely is ever over the road.

Hello all - not much to report today.  I just attended the farewell gathering for our support clerk.  We all did well and managed to avoid alot of crying.  Other than that, sun is shining and I'm glad it's Friday :-)

Regarding the TSV - I am a silver/white metal girl and the necklace holds zero allure for me.  Maybe it's the box chain - don't know.

Oh no, the Q is having a one day special on a Scott Kay necklace that I've been watching.  It's a 36 inch bolo link that sold on QVC for $280.  It's on sale today for $159, which is like $10 less than what they were selling the 18 inch bolo necklace for.

Did it get you, Bernie?  I ordered from my store this morning, a cute white top I have had my eye on for a while.  Very dressy, for my fantasty life where I look very put together and polished regardless of what I do (typed out while wearing my work out outfit).

Linda I'm glad the Hospice Nurse is making a better impression these days, and that DD got her card with money intact.

I had a wonderful time with my DD this weekend.  She brought me to city home and since it was raining we went to the Galleria and got a bunch of walking in yesterday.  It was fun, reminded me of meeting MJ there years ago, and also spending spring break there.  We ate at Rainforest Cafe, not my favorite because the food is all ****** (not good for you at all) but it was greasy tasty and I enjoyed being relaxed and in not such a noisy spot.

It is hot here today, I had to turn the AC up because I was freezing, and then again.

@Rock_chick

One of the girls in the handbag forum has the 36" necklace and says it's solid silver so yeah, I ordered it on easy pay.  If it doesn't knock my socks off I will return it.  If it does knock my socks off then I guess I just bought my birthday present (August).

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, MAR. 11)

Hi girls!

Can you believe it's Friday already???  Nothing much going on here either - it's cloudy and supposed to rain, which it did yesterday, so I didn't go anywhere. I did get my office tidied up and did a heavy-duty vacuuming; seeing the office so nice and neat is giving me incentive to continue on with cleaning. I think as soon as I'm through here I'm going to get the floors washed today.

Snicks, my donations are piling up as well; I moved a big box from the office to the garage to get it out of the way. I stil have a big bag in there for the missions closet; I'll try and take that over to church next week - I want to fill at least one more bag before I do.  With the weather so warm (near the 80s for the rest of the week) I need to get some lighter weight tops and PJs out, and should be able to find a lot more that I can give away.

My fussy little birds aren't showing much interest in the sunfower suet; they prefer hot pepper or peanut.  Well, it's that or go out and catch some bugs  or worms!  Cat LOL  I fill the feeder every day; with the warmer weather they should be able to find other things that appeal to them.

Guess I'd better get to the floor, then finish homework.

Hi to everyone; have a blessed day!
