Oht er than mine the baby could not be in better hands.  I hope they have a good time and a safe trip.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, JULY 1)

Hi girls! It's another hot, sunny day; I'm headed out to the pool in a little while while the sun is still out. LindaL, like you I like to wear dresses in the summer, but I need to get some color on my legs - I have very, very pale skin.

Well, there's one week of this semester left, then I'm off until mid-August. I decided that after the next semester I'm going to take one off, but I did get registered for two classes that sound interesting. I took a look at the books that will be needed, and what angers me is how school bookstores take advantage of people - their prices are ridiculous!  One books sells for almost $300, but you can rent it for something like $120. I looked on Amazon, and it's under $20 to rent it from them. Guess where I'll be getting it from?  I even found that with school supplies the schools stores charge twice as much or more for things.  Cat Mad  One of the classes requires a video camera for some sort of communications thing. You can get one from the school bookstore for over $300; my inexpensive digital camera has a video feature - that will have to do.  Do they think people are made of money?

Hey, where's pinky?

Hope the new pills work for DH, LindaL.

Love the dress, Snicks - I like that you can easily dress it up or down. Is that the color you got?

Jean, HSN knows how to do a clearance sale, unlike some shopping channels! Cat Wink  Christmas in July holds absolutely no interest for me; not only do I hate the fact that Christmas has lost its meaning and is almost entirely commercialism, but the way the world is, I don't think that far ahead.

Ouch, Charlene!  ((( HUGS )))  Too bad you don't live near me; I'd make you some goodies to take your mind off the pain.  Cat Happy

I guess I'd better get myself out there. Afterwards I have to return something to Walmart and get dog kibble and a few other things.  I think dinner might be a pizza from a place I discovered that's really, really good - it's sort of on my way back from my favorite Walmart, with just a slight detour.

Hi to everyone - have a blessed day!

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, JULY 1)

Hello all - I wrote my eulogy and timed it.  I come in under 2 minutes which is good as I understand if I go over 2 minutes the organist at the Baptist Church will play me out, like the Oscars, lol.

I went to the funeral home and it was finally nice to meet Ruth's family.  I feel like I know them well and told them, I know you don't know me from Adam, however I feel like I know you all so well.

They are a wonderful group - I hit it off with the matriach especially, always a good sign :-)

I think I feel better about the eulogy tomorrow.  I will probably still have knots in my stomach but I'm pretty sure I won't need the ushers or Church nurses.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, JULY 1)

Glad you hit it off well with Ruth's family and are comfortable with the eulogy, Bernie.  I will be thinking about you tomorrow.  It is so difficult to lose a friend, but I am glad Ruth did not suffer too much.

Speaking of suffering -- I hope you recover quickly, Charlene, but do take it easy.  I have "done a number on myself" a few times, broken my glasses, etc. after a fall.  Not fun, and of course I looked horrible for quite a while.  One time it was near Halloween, and I did not need a mask if you know what I mean.

Like you, I have pale skin, Arlene.  I use and recommend the Jergen's Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer.  It only took a few days of use until I felt okay about letting the world see my legs.

DH's medicine has not been delivered yet, but I am hoping for the best.  He had a pretty good day at the "club", and I managed to clean out our storage "closet" -- we had it added to the end of our carport.  I discovered things to donate and trash, as well as duplicates on both the weed killer and insect killer.  That is what happens when you can't see all the "stuff" you have in your closet, and just keep buying.  Oh well.....

Sleep well everyone!

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, JULY 1)

I got the nurses call late this afternoon.  All of the lab work & specimens came back fine.

NO dairy products for 2 weeks.

I need to take 1 Omeprazole a day for two weeks.  Eating will not be fun, but all I care about is our upcoming bus trip.

Next Monday we still plan to go to the church dinner/bands.
