SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, Dec.2)

Hi Everyone!

I sure hope this posts today. I'm sure what the problem is but crossing my fingers it is resolved soon.

I put the large Mr.Christmas candles in the bow window yesterday. They have that silicone button on the bottom as the timer device. Those buttons frustrate me. I can never tell if they are really moving in the direction or clicking for the hour set time . At least , these shut off properly but not at the same time. I'm flowing with it. LOL

Today is cloudy and cold so I'm enjoying it. I hope to do the banking and and pick up a prescription. Hopefully, I'll get the ornaments on the big tree and then I'm decorated. I've kept it very simple (for me) this year. I hope to be able to finish the two areas of decluttering this weekend so I can still get a pickup date this month. We'll see.

The neighbor across the main road is having a new driveway poured this week. I've not seen this done during the winter months but you learn something new all the time with home improvements. Their driveway is similar to ours with the pitch and length so it's good homework for us.

I caved and ordered the TSV from the other day. ( the lighters) I was tired of clicking that that lighter gadget and trying to find refills for them. Crossing my fingers that they work well.

Have a good afternoon/evening.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, Dec.2)

Good Morning/Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Fressa. Glad you were able to post, and hope this one goes through as well.

I was very interested in yesterday's TSV since I had never seen something like it before. I debated and debated, but ended up buying just one on Amazon instead. Just didn't think I needed three of them. Hope that they work well.

I am sure your decorations are lovely. Mine are up, but I have not turned on the lights yet. Long story, but my Mom never did much decorating before my birthday (next week), and I used to wait until it was over before I decorated. However, during the past several years, I decided to decorate after Thanksgiving.

I did my grocery shopping yesterday. There were a few bargains -- like grapes for 77 cents a pound, but most of the prices were high. At least I was able to find most of what I wanted (by going to three stores, but.....) After lunch, I went to the gym, and then picked up the hospice supplies that were not ready until 4:00 p.m. It was dark by the time I got home, but at least the weather was good -- no rain.

I was supposed to go on a hike with the leader of the Bible study at church (very experienced hiker), but she emailed that she had come down with COVID. She said she was suprised that it just felt like a cold, but she had told me that she had been exposed to several people whose relatives had COVID the previous week. Fingers crossed I don't get COVID again.

Waves to all of our posters and readers. Hope everyone has a nice evening.

Hugs,

Linda

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (FRIDAY, Dec.2)

Hello all, we had crazy weather on Wednesday. It started out in the 50's, wind came roaring in and we dropped 20 degrees before noon Woman Surprised I felt bad for anything living that was stuck outside. At least it was sunny yesterday. Today we are riding the rollercoaster again - warming up as the day goes on, well get really warm overnight and whammo - wind and temp drops again tomorrow. I was just grateful that I didn't lose power this week.

I did the grocery shopping today. My heart goes out to the meat eaters and folks with growing young kids. Some of the prices I see just knock me out.

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.
