Hi girls!
Where is everyone today?
It was a wasted weekend; my eyes we hurting so badly that I couldn't stand any light, and wearing contacts was out of the question, so I pretty much spent almost all my time lying in bed in a dark room with a cold compress, listening to radio programs on my Kindle. Homework for one class didn't get done on time - I sent the prof a quick email - and the only time I went out was to fetch Autumn. On Sunday morning that darned dog decided she'd make a break for it and head to church. (sigh) Since her collar is embroidered with my phone number I got a call; she was just around the corner so I trudged over in my PJs, going mostly by memory since I couldn't see a thing. So, guess who has taken off once too often, and will now be spending her nights in her crate? (She wrecked the screen so she could get off the back porch, where she's been kept at night.)
It's overcast out, with rain forecast. I have to go out and pay the utilities, then catch up on my homework before I get the house cleaned a bit. Well...a lot. The furkids did a lot of damage when they were unsupervised for two days.
Hope you all have a blessed day!

Good Afternoon! Thanks for getting us started Arlene. What a miserable weekend you had. Hope you are able to get some things done today.
No need to hide on Monday when you are retired, but I do remember the times when Monday (and back to work day) came way too soon for me. I feel for my SIL who often needs to work weekends, but at least she has a job.
It is quiet here today. DH and I had a nice walk this morning. I plan to go to Curves later, and I need to pick up a book on reserve at the library.
DD said DGD is feeling better, but is still suffering a bit with her sinus infection. Football DGS did well in his scrimmage last Friday night, which made him happy. The Army guy is fine as is college DGS. All this makes her and me happy.
Waves to Jean (working), Kathleen, Susan, Marijane, LindaR, Karen, Rosa, Gayle, Sonya (nice pictures on FB), Jules, Nancy, Gina, Kathy, and all of our posters and readers.
Hope everyone has a good day!
Hugs,
Linda

Hi ladies! I have been shopping for Vegas tickets. No bites yet, lots of awful times to be traveling and airlines that have shabby reviews. In the end it will be worth some extra money to go nonstop and decent hours.
I'm very lucky to have a job that I love so Mondays are not so bad here. I like to do a variety of things and this place keeps me busy. Better yet, most seem to appreciate me here.
I do want to get to Target and look at boots but I'm afraid I will find something I can't live without. Thankfully I have forgotten about those purses. ![]()

Arlene--Thank you for starting the thread. It was a dismal day here also, but I do hope you feel better soon. I guess your eyes are still irritated from sleeping with the contacts left in.
Linda--I'm glad that you are still enjoying the benefits of Curves and that DH continues to take walks with you.
Kathleen--It has been a few years since I've been to Vegas, but I hope you enjoy the trip very much. We did more of the visiting things in the area than with gambling. Those boots are made for walking, so please take a trip to Target.
I work every day this week except for Friday when I have an appointment in Columbus, Ohio. I couldn't sleep last night but fell asleep shortly before the alarm went off. I managed to turn it off and go back to sleep. I awakened at 7pm...an hour late, but I managed to get out of the house by 7:30.
I confess to making another purchase. I liked that Dennis Basso faux leather jacket so well that I purchased it in black to go with the previous color purchased.

Jean, sorry for your no sleep last night. I'm glad you got out of the house before being too late. I know you will get good use out of your DB with your weather.
I finally booked our trip. I went through the process 2x only to find that it didn't book, the fares had changed. Very frustrating. It's awful hard for me to spend so much money. DD was on the phone with me as it finally went though and I was grateful, because I talked to her while I destressed. I know to some of you that probably sounds quite silly, but I've never enjoyed spending $1000 with a few clicks of the mouse - and I find traveling to be kind of anxiety ridden as well. Stevie is looking into tickets and I suspect we will need to find Kayla a ticket as well.
In any case I did not go to Target. Perhaps another day.
