Re: SHOPAHO LICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (THURSDAY, 2/12)

Hi ladies, My DH didn't fall because of ice or snow. He said he saw 3 city trucks driving by the HS which is where he was walking. He said that the sidewalk was uneven & he tripped. He said that the first 2 trucks asked him if he was alright & the 3rd truck waved at him. He tore a big hole in his pants & had blood dripping down to his ankles. I am not a nurse for sure. I told him to take a nice shower. Then I gave him the alcohol bottle. OUCH!!! I then gave him the neosporin. Then as I used a large patch & then I taped him up. Good thing he doesn't have to wear shorts or swim trunks this week. Lunch with his mom was nice. We went to the nice restaurant in the Super 8. It was the salad bar, soup & chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn & spaghetti with meat sauce for $5.99. It is sunny out so it feels good in the house.

Re: SHOPAHO LICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (THURSDAY, 2/12)

Hello All,

Just a quick note to mention that I really appreciate everyone's responses regarding the loss of our pet.

We are doing a little better and just keeping things close to home this week. My husband has been doing double duty cooking and taking care around the home. We put down our last dog 2 years ago.

We were so used to having 2 dogs at that time. Then we were down to one, now just us. I didn't realize how hard this was going to hit me.

Beyond that, doing o.k. just taking it a day at a time and glad for the support system.

I hope everyone is doing well. Gayle

Gayle, I am glad that you are taking it one day at a time at home. I lost one of my BF' s last March. I miss her every day as she has held my hand every step of the way the last 13 years. I am glad that she is no longer suffering & I know that some day we will meet again. My DH is wonderful to me, but she had that extra special meaning to me.

Gayle I'm glad DH is taking care of you. I'm sick tonight. I got a fever at work but Tylenol helped. Came home and felt awful but I had to get a couple things and fill up with gas. It feels good to be home DH is at country home already. I will drive down after work tomorrow
