I love my high heels up to 5" sometimes, but with a lot less platform. I see no need for any higher without being "clunky" looking. To each their own, I guess.

gardensla, you gave me a good laugh this morning. Why does it remind me of a Halloween pumpkin?

I had to highlight those shoes (popular back in the Kardashian heyday--maybe three or four years ago?) as they're an excellent example of the fact that while the cause is laudable, vendors clearly do use this as an opportunity to dump unsold goods and get a write off. Ultimately everyone benefits (customers, charity, vendor, QVC) but it would be awesome to see at least a few vendors pony up some current season styles and take a loss!

Glad I was not the only one who thought this looked like a dump the unpopular
styles and colors.
There seems to be an unusually high number of kids shoes and baby shoes. Oh well.
Personally I like a mild platform, to cushion the ball of my foot, but those are ridiculous to me.

Over the years I don't think I've ever purchased from the FFANY because they don't seem that fashionable or wearable for people like me. I would never wear a 5-inch heel. Maybe this is what the folks do with their non-sellers to write them off for taxes.

You know all the really nice shoes are held back for the show. And of course, they show most of the shoes at the event itself in NY, for all the celebrities and invitees to purchase.
I've always had a problem with that, because I think that QVC dismisses the fact that it's the viewers and customers that shop with them every day that should be offered the best and greatest discounts on the shoes..... but whatever I digress. It's important to remember the cause and that the money goes to fund research. I think there is a lot of room for improvement for this event but it's never happened.
I do buy some shoes from during October as part of the event but I never watch the show. There isn't any point, they have like 12 pairs of each style and they are sold out before you can say Hello Lover and so it's useless to try to get a pair during the show. Unless they are like those Cookie Monster blue wedges!
