SG TSV...Are embellishments/beading in style this year?

I am certainly no fashion expert but I love clothes and love to shop. I also subscribe to and read many fashion magazines. It seems that the whole SG beading/embellishment look is kind of last year. The trends this year seem to be ruffles, stripes, lace, hardware, maybe some metal studs or grommets etc. but I haven't really seen a whole lot of beading from the big designers this year at all. Everything Susan showed this morning had beading on it..that one top with animal print and the keyhole was awful...she had these big fake colored rocks sewn on this busy pattern around the keyhole neckline...they looked like tumors. What do you all think? Am I way off base or are you seeing the same trends as me and thinking SG is a little behind the times?
