If you feel cold or the need to be fashionable then by all means wear a scarf...the models on QVC when showing a top should not wear a scarf...unless several models are showing different looks with the top. Many times there is one model who is supposed to be showing an on air top and it is covered with other "stuff"!

I agree, the blond model (size large) should just stay home she is not showing the product being featured. If they are going to let her cover up with a coat or a scarf or both it is not helpful. It happens often. Is she pulling cover ups from the model's closet or is the stylist covering up the tops? If a model is going to show a coat and a scarf over the top being featured they should remove it and show the full garment. I recall in the early days they would do this.

Regarding scarves...Love and collect them, and wear them except when the temp is too high. (IM and LC have some rayon nice ones.) It usually cools off here (Southern CA) in the evening so they are nice to wear for an evening out. It gives an outfit a little pizazz.

I agree, scarf accessories are a nice touch. I have a few tubes and clips also.

Re: SCARVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I get dressed, some necklines need a scarf to fill in. A wonderful accessory. Joan Rivers has some beautiful summer weight scarves. Of course, I dress up more than capris and a T.

Re: SCARVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love them tied over the band in a ponytail or as a headband. I would not do that on a 100 degree day to attend a ball game, however. Some can be worn as an on the fly shawl, to a skinny necklace style, if the fabric is drapey and fluid enough. Heck, gets too hot - stick it in your back pocket like a bandanna. Put it through a belt loop.

Re: SCARVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't like the look of the scarf as an accessory look but that's just me. I can't even stand wearing any kind even if chilly and it would help warm me. I'm a minimalist in dress and all the extra accessories of any kind just get in my way.

I'm not a fan of scarves. I don't want a shiney or busy piece of cloth around my neck, draped on my chest.

Re: SCARVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I only wear a scarf in winter cold weather around my neck. A scarf around a tee with jeans doesn't look good on me.

...whatever. This scarf phobia comes up every spring. Obviously some of you don't even know what a scarf is. However, there are no laws mandating scarves. So what the is the big deal? Really, I would like an answer because I just don't get it. It's not like scarves are new. It's not like they were invented a few years ago. Scarves have been a fashion accessory for....well...probably hundreds of years.

Re: SCARVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in Florida and have a large selection of scarves. Each Sunday I wear one to church to keep the cold air of the ac off my neck. I wear one each month to our community theater because the theater is kept cold to keep the actors comfortable. My point is that even though I live in a warm climate there are opportunities for wearing a scarf. And I always wear one on an airplane because of the very low temperatures on the planes.

I think it's because most of the time, the clothes don't fit her ... much too tight. So many times she's perched on the edge of the arm of the sofa.

Look at the video for this coat ... at about 2:30 spot. And, IM and SK are hiding her!

Re: SCARVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone who did a review talked about how it ran so very small and some indicating that it might even be two sizes to small. So, Jackie who normally wears a large but should wear an XL, should have been put in a 1X.
