[this is my nic]

I've noticed ruffles everywhere from tops to skirts to pants!   An abundance of ruffles!  These garments remind me of what my mother used to threaten me with when I was growing up.  She always said she was going to put ruffles on my clothes when I grew out of them to get a bit more wear.  Of course, that just didn't seem like such a great idea to me!  Mother was way ahead of the times! 

I have one or two tops with ruffles at the bottom, that's enough for me!

That reminds me of the LOGO items.  Looks like they were too short so they added a piece of another fabric and color to the bottom.

Yes!  A week or so ago I saw an item that looked like an old fashioned maternity top.  It was an overly loose fitting patterned top,  buttons up the front, and about a foot of ruffle in a contrasting pattern around the bottom.  Of course, now no one wears maternity clothes!

Ruffles are for little girls. Grown women who wear ruffles are not taken seriously.

The only ruffles I have had in my life are some sheer ruffled curtains back in the 70's used to adorn my living room windows.

Remember "Ruffles have Ridges?" I used to love those potato chips. Other than that, I wouldn't be caught dead in clothing with ruffles.....
