Gosh I did not know that there was a "dress code color" for Christmas.  But then again I dont hang with the royal's.

I also dont believe the snarky comments about the color of Meghans outfit.  Oh wait, yes I do this is the QVC forums.

Here you can see a different angle of Kate's headband. I really like the 40's look of this outfit.

Kate wore a double-breasted burgundy coat with a velvet collar by Catherine Walker and a matching Jane Taylor halo band. She wore Gianvito Rossi pumps and carried her Mulberry Bayswater clutch bag.

The only picture I could find of Princess Anne. She's wearing the blue coat and standing right behind Prince William.

It apprears that Princess Beatrice and Zara Phillips are also in dark blue. Not funereal at all.

And the winner is...Queen Elizabeth! Smart, festive, sharp, and happy to boot. Lovely on every level.

Re: Royal Family on Christmas Day

Thank you @lmt and anyone else who posted pictures.  Everyone looks so nice this morning.  It's great the Queen's whole family, including grandchildren, were able to join her.  I guess there were a few missing, including Prince Philip and Camilla, but for the most part it seems everyone was there.

@lmt  i liked this hat look for Kate too (on left ) - and the pin that made her neutral outfit more interesting.

These are women not Christmas trees , they don't have to wear red and green.

Love Kate's red coat.  Classy as always.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!
