I think the dress probably is something that is hard to film or photograph

In the first pic it looks like a foil or metallic, in the new foto it looks flat and dull

The neckline and bodice are completely different. I too think the difference in the skirt might be lights and photography.

Mst say I prefer the top on the 1962 version myself, much more regal looking.  Just an observasion, but not only is the coloring different, but the flowers, leaves, etc seem to be in different places in the two pictures.  May just be camera angles I suppose.

@The whole dress looks different.  The top is certainly not the same.
