So I'm wearing this today and having a lot of trouble with the zipper. I'm finding it nearly impossible to zip it when it's on and then when I do, I am having trouble unzipping it -- almost feel like the zipper could break because it's not easily unzipping (by this, I mean the bottom portion). I hope I just need to get the hang of it. Is anyone else having an issue? I haven't seen anyone else mention it.

Yes, the zippers on all three of my jackets are troublesome. The fabric awkwardly overlaps the zipper and if I'm not careful, it gets caught. To me, it's not such a big deal that I can't work around it. You'll see a couple reviewers mention the same issue I'm having in the product reviews, while still giving the cardie/sweater 4 or 5 stars.

The problem you've described sounds like a much different issue. Maybe someone else can weigh in on how to help you correct that...Good luck.

Have you tied running a bar of ivory soap over the zipper teeth. Sometimes that works really well.

Re: Review of Milano Stitch Cardigan (A263783)

I received the orange jacket. Once I unzipped it to try it on, I found it almost impossible to zip it back up. Honestly, it took me several minutes! I decided to keep it since I really like the fit and the color. I will put the thing over my head if I have to. I feel that the zipper is very stiff and kind of rough in texture as well, so maybe that is part of the problem. I kept checking the reviews to see if anyone else had the same issue. Not sure if I want to take a change on getting another one in a different color.

You MIGHT try Zipper-Ease sold through Amazon around $4.00. It IS a petroleum product though. But specifically a zipper lubricant. The company claims (made by A.G.S. Company - Muskegon, Michigan) it will not stain or soil fabrics but I'm not going to push the envelope on that so if you try it USE IT LIGHTLY as the directions indicate. It works like a charm! But I'd still keep it off the knit fabric and I'd still use less than you THINK you want to use Smiley Wink This stuff can be used on tent zippers and even sleeping bags. It's gotten me out of many a pickle including on my LL Bean down coats this winter in the sub zero temps. But remember, I would do all possible to keep it off the adjacent fabrications just to be on the safe side. Read the Amazon reviews.

Re: Review of Milano Stitch Cardigan (A263783)

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. The problem seems to be at the bottom, where the two pieces fit together. The rest of the zipper seems to be fine. I also agree with Grace that the fabric is too close to the piece that fits in to the zipper pull so that might be making it harder. I am hoping once it's zipped and unzipped more it might be a little easier. I hope so!

Re: Review of Milano Stitch Cardigan (A263783)

In Linea depending upon the fit I am sometimes an xs or a small. In this I ordered the small and it is a perfect fit. Sleeve length is also a factor and I think the xs the sleeves would have been too short. I ordered the aqua which is one of my favorite summer colors and it goes well with navy on the bottom in summer, as well as white. If I could find a good khaki pant or jean I think that would be nice too. Unfortunately or fortunately my favorite Linea tan pants are too big as well as my khaki jeans. I did buy a tan straight or pencil skirt last summer from Ann Taylor that might work.

I am on waitlist for hibiscus which is breaking out of my normal color schemes. I think this color will work with my navy and white and grey bottoms. I don't really wear black in the summer.

Edit to say I would have preferred the two way zip on this!

Re: Review of Milano Stitch Cardigan (A263783)

I did write a review on the cardigan and indicating my problem with the zipper. I assume my review is there. I need to sort of peel the fabric away from the zipper to get the zipper started. I think the zipper is just a tad too close to the fabric causing this to happen. Certainly was not a deal breaker for me. Love my hibiscus cardigan....................sure hope to see a hibiscus tank in the future.
