Re: Remembering the Linea line

I liked a lot of his items a lot too.  I have a couple of his leather jackets with sweater accents and I just love them!  I have kept them even though I have lost weight.  They are great jackets and I wish I could get them again new in my new size!

One thing that I wasn't happy about is that he didn't offer petite sizing in tops and sweaters.  I tried a few of his whisper knit sweaters but they were always too long on me.

@santorini  I still wear so many of my Linea pieces!  I'll be wearing a red plaid jacket of his to a Christmas luncheon on Wednesday.  I sure do miss Louis.

@shoesnbags Yes!!!  I have two of his plaid blazers and they are just stunning!!   The plaids match at the seams and the collars.  I always get compliments when I wear them!  I know I hold on to some things too long but I can't part with his pieces!  I hope there isn't such thing as "thread rot" because I plan to keep these items for many more years.  Smiley Happy

Re: Remembering the Linea line

I have being pulling out all my whisper knit items and I have a lot to wear this time of year.  Louis is very missed, it's like only Susan Graver and Kim Gravel exist now.  I know they both have an audience unfortunately I don't watch them.

Re: Remembering the Linea line

I still cherish every piece of Linea that I have! I think I discovered Louis and Linea in 2008 and have two full closets upstairs of Linea. Plus what ever I bring downstairs to our master closet. Once you found your "fit" you never had to worry about something in the Linea line not fitting well. I still look at eBay and Poshmark for some good buys. I love to go to Louis' blog site and search for items and how to accessorize and mix and match.
I love all my blazers and coats as well. This time of year I get so many compliments on the Tartan Plaid blazer in both the navy/red and the green/black/fuschia colors. So perfect for the holidays! His faux suede fashions are amazing!
Louis and his fashions are so very much missed!

Re: Remembering the Linea line

I know I'm dreaming Smiley Happy but wouldn't it be nice if he did a one-time show where he had about 10 of his best selling items for sale again?  He could even do it on his own website.

I loved Linea by Louis. That was back in the day when QVC had real designers. The quality was superb! Now I rarely if ever buy anything. I can't watch the clothing people they have now.

Re: Remembering the Linea line

I came in late to Linea, but I made up for it!

I still wear my Linea designs all of the time. The dresses are definitely a staple, and I just wore a pair of pants Saturday, with a tan sweater. It's not petite, but since I'm right on the border it looks fine.  Smiley Happy

Re: Remembering the Linea line

Since we're talking Linea. . .

Most years I wear a Christmas dress covered by my ivory Linea tunic for Christmas Eve services.

I can't remember what my tunic is called. It's a heavier fabric, and it zips up. I'm working on the service,  and I thought I'd better think about what I'm wearing!

Can anyone help me name this beautiful tunic?  Smiley Happy

I can't remember the name, but I have 4 colors.  Smiley Happy  It's longer and is lined with a satin-like material.  It looks great with pants and pencil skirts too.  I bet you look gorgeous!!
