It was never my taste but I had friends that would drive to San Francisco to go to the outlet store.  I liked them on others just not my style.

No! I've heard of gunny sacks which hold grain to feed farm animals. There's a funny I love Lucy episode in which her and Ethel wear them, thinking they are fashionable French designs.

In the video, they say that the brand was named after those sacks, yet, they had a lot of detail.

I have many Gunne Sax dresses, skirts, and blouses. I guess if I starved myself for a couple of months, I could wear them again. As a teenager, my mom and I would drive up to the outlet in San Francisco. I was wearing a Gunne Sax dress when I met my husband. Thanks for the memories!

YES!! Love love! In college my favorite dress for our annual formal was a Gunne Sax or Sac, whatever it is. It was pink of course!  Was surprised, but Poshmark has tons of vintage for sale. ..

I NEVER wore them. I didn't find them ATTRACTIVE or FLATTERING. NOT my style.

I remember them well.  When my cousin got married, her attendants ( including me) wore Gunny Sax dresses with floppy brimmed hats.  Very pretty, but not my style at all.  I will be curious to see how they are " reinvented".

I had several back in my younger days. I thought they were so pretty...very feminine. I'll have to check out the youtube video.
