Re: Regular legnths 31 " instead of 30

My inseam is 32". Growing up, in high school, college and beyond I struggled finding slacks, jeans, etc. that were long enough. I was happy when they started to make 31" inseams. At least they are below my ankle. 32 is my sweet spot, 34 is to long.

When I was younger, I pulled down the pant hem as much as i could. I would make like a 1/4" hem on all of them, adding about 3/4"

I only wear flats, so 30" is good for my 5'5 frame.   31 does not work at all.

31 is the perfect length for me. I think high waters look strange, even when they're meant to be. I'm 5'8" now, used to be 5'10" but, well you know, age. I don't wear heels and my feet thank me for that.

For me, length of leg depends on the leg style.

I almost always have to shorten them. I can do it myself.

Re: Regular legnths 31 " instead of 30

To each their own. I am 5'5" with long legs and short torso. 30" is perfect for me with flats and 31" is good with heels. So I am actually happy with 31".  With 32" I have to wear 3" heels and that gives me foot pain, as my feet are small. I can only do 2" heels.

So yes, can't please everyone.

Unless they go back to 30" on the regular pants I will not be purchasing their pants.  Companies cannot ever leave everything alone. In stores the pants are 30" so that is where I will buy.

Re: Regular legnths 31 " instead of 30

I have to shorten 95% of the pants I buy.  The tailor at the local dry cleaner now charges $20 per pair to shorten, so I do them myself now.

My length requirement changes with every pants style and fabric.  Could be as short as 28" or as long as 30" ... just depends on the style of the leg.

So - I just buy the medium length and deal with it myself.
