How do you feel about really short jackets?  (Anthropology.)

I never go for the extreme in any style, it dates too quickly.

I like it on her and probably anyone who is slim.

And you know what they say-"Everything old is new again."

I think every kind of style is "in" nowadays and people are wearing what they like regardless of what's considered in.

I think it's in if you look and feel good in it.

Trends and fads always come and go and back again. And I never cared about what is in anyway.

Another style for the very young/very thin.

Short jackets really look best on a short torso or average torso 

and  that don't  carry weight around the middle. Young and thin can wear this style , but if they have a long torso it's going to look off.

When I used to watch HGTV which is totally a non reality show because they have already chosen their house before the show ( a friend was in the International HGTV), Anyway I always thought if they walked into the house and said everything looked dated one more time! The kitchen is dated, The floors are dated. The granite is dated. Oi!

Unless someone is thinking of selling their house or their clothes for that matter do people really care that much what is dated if they like it?

I mean no offense to those that do I just have never thought about it and am surprised that it is mentioned a lot. I don't think anything is dated if someone looks and feels great in it.

Some things that look dated to some may always look great to others and those that wear them and some things that are 'in" look awful to some but not to others.

There are some things in fashion that I think have been awful looking no matter what decade they appear in and that is a topic for another round off of opinons but maybe for another time or decade!
