Real Fashion at Tony Awards/Ruth Wilson

imo this is stunning - and true fashion when quite often we see a lot of costume-y looks. the look did not propel her to a win for "King Lear."Sassy in scarlet: Ruth Wilson looked radiant as she attended the 73rd Annual Tony Awards at the Radio City Music Hall in New York on SundayDressed to impress: Ruth had come dressed to win as she donned a stunning scarlet gown with a high neck and dramatic caped detailing

Would like to see it without the capelet.  A bit much.

Capelet is OK with me.  I don't like the long sweeping train.  It isn't a wedding gown.  Think of the dirt it picks up.  Ick.

I don't care for the capelet.

Is that lace?  It looks so heavy and depressing...

Well, I'm with ms traditional on this.  I think it's truly beautiful.

It's so many things at one time.  Simple, but unusual.  Elegant.

That capelet looks like it's strangling her. The fabric looks heavy and drawn down. The red color evokes deep sorrow for some reason....maybe because she doesn't look very happy.

detail of scarlet dress

Bun's the word: Her chestnut locks were braided and pulled back into an intricate up-do for the occasion, whilst she kept her accessories simple by donning a delicate pair of silver earrings

The dress is beautiful but I don't care for the high neckline of the capelet.  It looks restrictive, hot and uncomfortable.

Some polisned shoulder and chest skin visible would make this dress an A+.

I think it's beautiful. She looks regal.
