There's something comforting about Ralph's use of simple lines, nods to late 1980's/early 1990's (sans shoulder pads), focus on basic black & only hints of white and red, fair isle ... in this collection.

We're not asked to accept something new or extreme; we're asked to celebrate straightforward American style that's uncomplicated and appears effortless, yet is so very stunning.

Mr. Lauren's designs are always so classic and pleasing and yet he always manages to do something to make them just new/fresh enough.

Agreed!  With all of the craziness and extreme ideas being pushed as normal today, it is comforting to see beautiful classic items.

@ECBG   Thanks for sharing this. I've always his line...simple and minimalistic. My style, but the couture line is definitely pricey. 

When I was staying in McLean, Va recently, there was a mall there with one of his shops. Wow....just WOW!
