@Kachina624   Just my opinion, if someone's cooking on a show, I prefer a much neater look....hair pulled back, too so I don't find long strands in my food.

She's gotten sloppier since purchasing her home and all the gardening in Italy, spending a lot of her time there...

I don't think the "look" is appropriate for a network cooking show and surprised the execs don't step in.

@chrystaltree   "If I were rich", I hope I still would have enough style sense to look in a full length mirror to determine, "no". Expensive or not, other women are wearing these  jeans, they may be taller and can carry these off, but they definitely do not belong on me.

@Kitty Galore   ITA, her persona has completely changed from the gracious, polite show host when she started the show.

The Italy references (constantly) gets tiresome and a little "holier than tho". I used to watch her while cooking our dinner as background noise, but now quite annoying and I listen to the news (BTW, not pleasant either) and may switch to some classical music.

These jeans remind me of an "overall look" and maybe she wears them for all her planting and gardening in Italy.

I'm sure she oversees her acres of plantings and doesn't get down in the dirt herself. 

When Oprah was on, she gave tours of her home andproperty. They were done with humilty and grace and never discussed endlessly during her other shows.

Side note...

Rachael & her husband gave a tour of their home in Tuscany.  While it is very lovely, they don't have any place inside their home that has a good view outside.  The house is on stunning rolling Tuscany hills.  Yet they have to go outside to one of their outside seating areas to enjoy the gorgeous view.  Or enjoy paintings of Italy they put up on the walls, as Rachael noted.

Her home is on a heritage site, like a historical site in the US.  Therefore, the original properties (it was two barns) could not be altered at all on the outside.  No altering of windows or outside doors. She could only renovate up or underneath the original structures. Renovations have taken three years, and they are still working on it. 

I guess everyone has their home priorities. But of all places, I would so long for a beautiful outside view from inside my dining room, bedroom, living room, or heck even the kitchen.

I think they're strange looking but they fit it with Rachel's quirkiness.  I always thought a lot of her cookware and accessories had weird shapes and designs to them.

I thought this was about the jeans, not dissing the character or body of this very talented and successful home cook.  I like and admire Rachael and know she has a sincerely kind heart.  I think this thread has gone off the rails.
