I imagine the beach is especially busy on a holiday weekend, Barbara. Glad Syd's group did so well at the competition. Fingers crossed about Pepper. I have never had a puppy, but I imagine these sorts of strange illnesses must be pretty upsetting.
I agree with Barbara -- hope you are enjoying some peace and quiet today, Claudia. Assuming that is possible.
DH's new medicine did not arrive until 10:00 p.m., and I had already given up and given him the other one. He did sleep pretty well last night, and he went back to bed while I took my walk this morning. Unfortunately, he had very messy accident later. At least I was able to take care of things and get him into the shower before breakfast. He is very sleepy again today, which doesn't make a lot of sense because he was okay at day services yesterday. Oh well....
I've been busy doing my usual weekend chores. It was pretty nice and cool this morning (low 70's and a bit cloudy), but the temperature is climbing fast. And, no more rain is predicted for a while. I knew better than to get too comfortable with the cooler weather, but it sure was nice.
Hope both of you have a nice evening!
Hugs,
Linda

Barbara, I'm glad Pepper is doing better but you're right in needing answers. Hopefully M's friend will have the answers. It's a good weekend to enjoy the beach even with the crowds. At least you don't have to fight traffic to get to the beach.
Midmorning I decided to take a drive about an hour north of here. There's a new antique center. R didn't respond to my suggestions the past few weeks to take a drive up there so I decided to go on my own.
It's a very nice antique mall and 15% off this holiday weekend. I brought home a 2 shelf mahoganybarrister bookcase with a bottom drawer.
It's a shame DH's prescriptions aren't delivered timely, Linda. At least he slept fairly well but the accident and clean up was not a good start to the day.
When I returned home TT and Griff had a disagreement. At one point Griff tried to drag TT by the tail. Then they were facing each other calling names at the entrance to the kitchen. I managed to grab Griff's collar with one hand and push TT into the dining room and close the door. At least they are sleeping now.

Sydnies big production dance is going to the showdown this evening. They are very excited because if they win, it is a huge trophy and cash award for the studio.
the ocean looks very rough..it is col, windy and rainy.obviously, there are not many people on the beach.
Linda...I read that dhs new med did not work at all. I hope you can get better sleep tonight. I think there is a lot of night restlessness associated with Alzheimer's, unfortunately.
V said pepper is acting better but has Ben having accidents. I am sure he is not tuned into when she needs to go out or how she asks. Yikes.
too bad the dogs got into it again yesterday, claudia.
One more ore day here..look forward to the fireworks tomorrow might.

Best wishes for Sydnie's big production tonight. I hope the weather is good for the fireworks tomorrow night. Pepper must wonder why V doesn't understand what she's telling him. Meanwhile V hopes for no accidents.
The boys got into it again this morning when they went out. They settled down though after a few minutes. I've been shredding and trying to organize R's reference books in bookcase closest his chair. I've had no luck finding the disc for the printer.
R called to say he was sick the past two days. He was better today and they plan to stay till tomorrow.
Linda. It's too bad the change in meds didn't help DH last night. I hope tonight is better.

Good Afternoon/Evening! Glad Pepper is a little better, Barbara, and hope Syd's group does well. Sounds like a good day to stay away from the beach. Hope the fireworks are nice.
Sorry your dogs have been getting into fights, Claudia, and R has been sick. Good for you with going through the books.
I have been so tired today, which is not surprising given our horrible night. It was nice getting to church, and the lady I used to sit next to was there. We had a nice chat. Apparently, she had seen DH and me at the grocery store, and said that she knew that I have my hands full. Her late husband had Alzheimer's Disease, and she said she thought maybe she waited longer than she should have to put him in a facility. I think he no longer knew who she was by the end. Not a fun prospect. After church, I made it to the gym, and got most of my "long" workout done -- I do my regular routine (30 minutes of the elliptical machine plus 9 or so weight type machines) every time, and add 30 minutes on the treadmill for my longer workouts. But, I only had time for 22 minutes on the treadmill.
I really liked the caregiver -- young lady who lives with her Grandmother. Not sure if her Mom lives these or not. Anyway, DH liked her as well, and she will be coming again when I go to the bookclub on the 11th. The hospice volunteer e-mailed me that she will be able to come the next two Saturdays, which is good. So looking forward to a break when I can get some rest. DH is a very sweet man, but I'm wearing out.
Hope both of you have a nice evening and sleep well.
Hugs,
Linda
