Sydnies solo went very well. She received a high gol . There were very few platinujs given . She had a good time and that is what counts. We found out that as if
of now, Hayley will not be dancing next year. If true that is very good news.
Linda..hope dhs son is safe. Those attacks are horrible. Hope h has it had anymore swelling issues.
Claudia hope you are less achy. My ra is starting to affect my mobility more than I realized. I am going to move more when I get home. If not will talk to my dr when I see him next month.
v said he was watching a movie quite late at night that had a barking dog in it.guess who joined I. From her kennel?! We thought that was hilarious.
the weather is beautiful here today.

Yay for Sydnie! I'm glad she enjoyed herself. Now the icing on the cake will be that Hayley does not dance next year. It's a shame to make a child participate in something they don't enjoy.
I hope your mobility improves between now and your doctor appointment, Barbara. Silly Pepper barking along.

Congratulations to Syd, and I'm happy that Hayley may be dropping out. That would be best for everyone, including her. Sorry your RA is acting up. Hope that things improve when you get home. Pretty funny about Pepper barking -- I think at least one of my dogs barked at the TV dogs as well.
Glad your weather is okay, Claudia. We had a storm last night, and it was raining when I got up this morning. Long story short, I postponed my walk until after I dropped off DH at day services,, and it was still okay (not too hot). We have had lightening, thunder, and a few sprinkles, but no major rain today.
DH did not sleep well at all last night, and his right hand and right foot were slightly swollen this morning. But, he seems to be okay. I wonder if the swelling will be obvious when the nurse comes tomorrow afternoon.
I did not accomplish a lot today --- went to the Wal-Mart and picked up the "extra" waterproof mattress pad that I ordered, and then I covered a lot of ground at Wal-Mart -- needed this and that, not much food, but other things.
I had a video to return to the library and two to pick up, so I took care of that along with some more paper/document shredding.
DD and family seem to be doing better, and oldest DGS bought a bunch of fireworks for a party he is having this Sunday (I think). He told DD he would pay for the food if they would allow the party. Hope that they have a good time. I asked, and he is still seeing the same girl/young lady from work, and she is invited.
Since I got so little sleep last night, I took a 30 minute nap this afternoon, but I'm still a bit sleepy.
Hope both of you sleep well, and are not too achy.
Hugs,
Linda

Good Morning/Afternoon! Hope you are still having fun at the beach/dance gathering, Barbara. DH's DD told me that his older DGD was supposed to go to dance camp next week, but they just found out that it had been canceled due to a lack of enrollment. She was pretty bummed, but said it cost $300 for the camp, so they were saving some money and taking day trips. I think she has signed up for a different dance camp for later.
Sounds like a beach vacation would be a good choice for your family next year. I like the beach, but not for long periods. More of a mountain/woods lover.
Hope you are feeling better today, Claudia and all is well with R and your furbabies.
DH did not sleep well last night, and was very sleepy this morning -- fell asleep between bites at breakfast. It was sure difficult to get his shoes on, but he is at day services now.
We had another storm last night, and thunderstorms are predicted for this afternoon. It has been raining/sprinkling this morning as well. Hopefully, this rain will help a bit with our drought. The temperatures are lower than normal, which is nice.
DGS has invited 30 people for his party -- wow. DD went to the commissary to buy some of the food -- very good prices on some things. Army DGS goes to reserves next Tuesday, and he will be commuting again since he did not find someone else to share a room. Oh well..... My SIL will be starting his dental work (not sure if it will be done in one session), tomorrow afternoon. DD is tired, but feeling better.
I really need to do some cleaning around here as well as get started on the old pictures, etc. But, I'm headed to the gym now. Housework can always wait.
Hope both of you have a nice day!
Hugs,
Linda

30 people for DGS's party- it's a good thing DD could shop at the commissary. It's a shame middle DGS could not find someone to share with, Linda.
I thought about mowing today but put it off. Mid afternoon is too hot. I checked R's cu account and saw a pending transaction he didn't make. He called and got them to cancel. He ordered weight loss items online last month (Smh) and didn't cancel within 30 days so was billed again and had to call and cancel. This one showed an order placed just after midnight when he was sleeping. Luckily on a whim I checked pending transactions. The ones from earlier this month totaled $130+. This one was $5.99 and was refunded. The companies go by different names but the phone # at least with the first two is the same.

I was interrupted by R searching for light bulbs. He replaced the overhead light in the half bathroom. We found the lightbulb Adam had put in was only 60 watts. After that I ended up mowing the backyard. When I was almost done R let the dogs out. Of course they headed right for the mower.
I'm sorry DH did not sleep well last night. I hope tonight is better.
Barbara, did Sydnie have any dances today? I hope you're enjoying the beach.

Syd and m are on the beach...it is going to storm this afternoon so they wanted to get some ocean time in.
Sydnie dances tomorrow and Sunday...but will be done early afternoon both days. We had fun yesterday...went to the aquarium here. In addition to the aquarium they had a ropes course with many different levels of climbing activity. Sydnie had so much fun...they are very safe..harnessed and clipped in to safety lines at all times. She probably got as high as 30 feet at times. She loved the zip lines.
Pepper is having issues again...the vet thinks she may have Lyme disease r something else...both are treatable. They ran blood tests and gave her more antiinflamnatories. Once they figure out what it is. M has to let the breeder know. Syd is pretty worried..but v is taking good care of the puppy.
linda..hope dh slept better last night. Good luck to dd with the party..she is braver than I am.
claudia, I hate 60 watt bulbs..I have trouble finding any bright lights with the new bulbs.
a group of navy trainees just ran by on the boardwalk. There are a lot of jets flying over. I would guess there is a carrier out somewhere for practice. My brother was a trainer for F 14 carrier landings. He can tell some good stories.
have a good day.
linda...were the monsoons bad in your area??

Glad R changed that bulb, Claudia. I don't think 60 Watts is enough for the bathroom or many other places, but I know it is the size the hardware stores, etc. push. I don't envy DD with the big party, but hopefully it will go okay. Good that the dogs didn't run into the mower. Yikes! Glad you were able to get those charges removed. It must be difficult having R doing these crazy orders, etc. Keeps you on your toes. At least that is nothing I need to worry about with DH since he can't read or use the phone.
Sorry to hear about Pepper, Barbara, but I'm glad you are having fun. I don't think I could ever handle zip lines, etc. due to my fear of heights. But, it is good that Syd enjoyed herself. I know Jean enjoyed going on zip lines, and she is older than me, but....
The nurse decided to try a different sleeping pill for DH, and they should be delivering a 5-pill trial amount this afternoon. He did sleep better last night -- only up a couple of times, but I am hoping that he can sleep better every night. I know that he is very sleepy in the morning. I think he does okay at day services, but if he is home during the day, he sleeps most of the time.
The monsoons were not too bad in our area, but other parts of Tucson were hit very hard. Fortunately, there have not been any drownings so far, and the "swift water rescues" have worked. There were deaths from the extreme heat, including two hikers from Germany.
It is cloudy again this morning, and I think we are expecting rain again today. But, I think it is supposed to be dry and hotter over the weekend.
I think it may be the weather, but my knee has been aching a lot lately. I am using three different creams, and decided to order some more Biofreeze from Amazon today since all three are running low.
.
Hoping to arrange to get money from the college funds to help pay tuition for the three kids going to college in the Fall. The money is not due until July 15, but it takes a while to get this done.
Nothing exciting planned for the day. Hope both of you have a good one.
Hugs,
Linda

Zip line- me? Absolutely not. I do not do well with heights. Good for Sydnie though.
Poor Pepper. Bo had Lyme disease and it took two courses of pills before he got over it. He did not show any symptoms. The vet had a special and I decided to have him tested.
I hope the new med helps DH sleep at night, Linda. Group on had a special a while back. I don't know if they still have it. It was 3 Biofreeze roll ones for the price of one.
R is off to meet up with Dave and carpool or in this case truck pool to the rendezvous.
Earlier he felt odd so I made him check his blood sugar and it was 67. I reminded him if he didn't feel well at some point to check his blood sugar.
It rained a bit as he was leaving. The next 2 days look clear.
Griff succeeded in sneaking upstairs where Fitz cat caught him gobbling cat food.

Syd is done dancing for the day. All of her groups received high golds...no one can figure out how the judging is done. She and m are on the very crowded beach....there are lots of people here for the big weekend.
Pepper is doing better but they need to figure out what is wrong with her.m is going to switch her to her friend who is a very goo vet.
Linda...hope dhs new sleep meds made a difference for you.
Claudia..enjoy your peace and quiet...may your animals behave.
enjoy.
