Re: REFORMED. sHOPAHOLICS. Week of October 18

Good Morning/Afternoon.  It rained heavily here last night, and the rain and thunder woke me up several times.  DH slept right through it, which is great.  I need to finish cleaning up the office (mostly putting away some papers), and do some more cleaning before we go to pick up his DD at the airport.  Her flight gets in around noon, assuming there are no problems.

We had a nice walk this morning, and DH just asked me if I was going for a walk.  When I told him we just went on a walk, he asked why didn't I take him.  He didn't remember that he had just taken a walk.  This is so frustrating.  At least he was in a good humor.

Hope both of you are having a nice day so far.

Hugs,

Linda

Re: REFORMED. sHOPAHOLICS. Week of October 18

Lady Luck was not with me yesterday...lol.  I did not take a lot of money and I had saved for it.  Today, I may go to an outlet mall , I may not.

linda, so good that the to test worked out. I learned that I did best with my mom when I just kind of agreed with whatever she said. Enjoy his dad's visit.

claidia, r must present quite a sight when he is out in his nightshirt. Yikes. Did the anesthesia affect his memory?! (((( hugs)))$

we are going to a presentation, so need to leave in a bit.

Re: REFORMED. sHOPAHOLICS. Week of October 18

R did wear his long wool coat (I call it his refugee coat. It's ww2 vintage) over his nightshirt when walking. Other times though he's been on the porch smoking in the nightshirt. He told pt he went down cellarlast night and used the inversion table. I said he didn't as we donated it months ago to the muzzleloader auction. Maybe he dreamed it.

Terrific news about the tb results, Linda. Mother would forget she'd eaten or done something too. It's very hard to deal with.

Sorry luck was not with you, Barbara. I think tomorrow you're on the road again.

I did my Wegman's grocery shopping this afternoon.

Re: REFORMED. sHOPAHOLICS. Week of October 18

Good afternoon!  I wonder if R is okay, Claudia.  Strange that he is talking about things that clearly did not happen.  Maybe an aftereffect of the anesthesia?  Maybe he is better today.

Sorry you did not win yesterday, Barbara.  Hope your trip to Arizona goes well today.

I just saw on FB that Cheryl and her husband are in Vegas.  What a coincidence.

DH's DD's plane landed a bit late, but no problems.  We went out to lunch at the casino restaurant where I wanted us to meet, Barbara.  They are open Wednesday through Sunday.  The salads were good and huge, but the price has nearly doubled since we went there last.  Not very busy, but it was late for lunch around here.  We walked through the casino, and then went to the car.  It started to rain, and it was very chilly.  Then the rain really started coming down hard, and it wasn't very easy to drive.  But, we did go out so his DD could buy a birthday card for her nephew (DH's son's boy), and took our umbrellas.  Then, I drove down to the new hospital (she was curious), and up to the community college building where I take my OLLI classes now.  There is normally a beautiful view of the mountains when I drive home, but not yesterday.

Dinner was nice, and then we watched a show on Netflix.  DH got up several times last night (just after I was in bed, 2:30, 4:00, etc.), but no messes.  So it wasn't as bad as it could have been, but I'm sure I'll be sleepy soon.

It was only in the upper 40's this morning -- what a change.  It may be cooler than normal for you, Barbara.

We took a walk this morning, and then his DD took a run.  I need to prepare lunch now so I can make it to class on time.

Hope both of you have a nice day!

Hugs,

Re: REFORMED. sHOPAHOLICS. Week of October 18

Not cold today at all and sunny.I took Miss Boots- mama cat up to get stitches out. Then the visiting nurse. After that a woman and her 12 yr old daughter picked one of thekittens. She planned on the grey but ended up with the black with white feet, tummy and whiskers which had been the smallest of the litter. So one down. R got mixed up transferring savings to checking and thinking he accidentally clicked on something emptied the checking back to saving. I straightened it out today. Sorry DH did not sleep well but at least no accidents. Barbara, I hope you got home in good time and it's not real chilly. Whit made an er trip at 2 am Wednesday. She had a steroid shot for a sinus infection and reacted it toit. Weak legs, dizziness, trouble breathing. She's home and returns to school Monday. She plans to see about a transfer to a closer university.

Re: REFORMED. sHOPAHOLICS. Week of October 18

We made it safely.  Now I have things to put away but will do that over the next couple of days. I opened the door to what seemed like tons of dead bees covering the floor. Yikes. It took us a good 20 minutes to clean it up and tomorrow will steam them.  V is going to find out why the man watching our house did not clean them up. At least there were no scorpions 😁

Linda, sounds like the visit is going well with your dd I law. Sorry you were awakened so many times last night.

claudia...one kitten less to worry about. R sounds a little confused...maybe the anesthesia as linda suggested??? Hope he straightens up soon. Poor whit.

i am tired. Will post more tomorrow. Sleep well.

Barbara, what a surprise. I can't imagine anyone leaving a carpet of dead bees but at least no scorpions.

Re: REFORMED. sHOPAHOLICS. Week of October 18

Back from the grocery store...needed things like milk, eggs etc. I went to Walmart where I do not buy meat, so will have to go to a mother store for that.

my right leg so weird today...always something...but do not plan on any more running around. Have a bit of unpacking and organizing to do. It is warm here so my fall clothes will be in a different closet for a bit.

Hope your our day is going well.  V was aware that there was a bee problem but it happened the day before he left so no time to call.

Re: REFORMED. sHOPAHOLICS. Week of October 18

Sorry about Whit, Claudia.  It would be good if she could attend a college nearer her home.  Hope R is better today.  I would be mega upset if DH did things with the bank account.  Glad you were able to fix things.

I guess it is a bit more understandable about the bees, Barbara.  But, I sure hope they don't return or cause more problems.  Sorry about your leg -- sounds like you should take it easy for a while.

Things went pretty well yesterday and so far today.  DH didn't have any accidents, but he did get up multiple times last night.  So, I'm a little worn out.  I got his DD to the airport in plenty of time (I think), and then took DH to the day services center.  He didn't want to stay there without me, which was troubling, but he didn't fuss when I told him that he needed to do so.

I'm doing some laundry and putting things away, and I'll be leaving for the gym shortly.

Hope both of you have a good day!

Hugs,

Re: REFORMED. sHOPAHOLICS. Week of October 18

Call from R's cu today with a fraud alert. Wednesday night he tried ording something from his smartphone when all kinds of screens popped up. He called the cu yesterday but everything looked good. Today- not. So they closed his debit card and are sending a replacement.

I imagine you're worn out, Linda. It's good DH accepted that you had to leave. Sometimes just awknowledging how they feel but saying you need to leave but will be back works.

Take it easy, Barbara. It's warm here too.

The black & white kitten seems to be fitting in to its new home. I saw a picture posted last night.
