Happy Anniversary to Whit and Mike, and Happy Birthday to V.

Fingers crossed about Adam's move, Claudia.  Glad  you ordered R's medicine.  I asked the nurse to order some more of his sleeping pills in the larger size.  Last night, I gave him two halves (which is what he should be taking), and it didn't really help.  He was up several times again.  At least he didn't try to get into the bed on top of me or have an accident this morning.

Glad you got some medicine, Barbara, and that there is no need for a new phone.  Probably a good idea not to tell dance Mom the real reason for the change.  Hope Syd's dance goes well.

I had a nice walk this morning, and a really good class (women's studies).  The leader had the session at her house, and she served some delicious food.  We had a very good and uplifting discussion.  I need to go to the lawyer about my will, etc. this afternoon, so I don't have time to go to the gym.  

DD and DGD were going to Macy's to look for spring clothes (DGD is taller and no longer fits some of her things).  Oldest DGS is working today, and he can get them a discount on top of the sale.  Both DD and DGS are feeling better, if not perfect.

I finally talked to the broker, and he said that everything has been approved so that I can take money out of DH's account to pay taxes, etc. when the time comes.  DH is still getting papers so I haven't taken it to the CPA yet, but I think we will owe again this year.  Oh well.....

Good morning...it will be a nice day...not quite as hot as the 91 yesterday. The ac will go off tomorrow since next week wil like economic a lot cooler. I may go to the pool..v is playing bridge this afternoon.

Syd is getting really anxious to bring Pepper home. She looks like a real fluff ball.

face timed with Amies girls last evening...that is such a neat way to connect.

Hope Adam has a safe trip and does not hit any storms., Claudia.  

Linda, hope dh slept better last night. You take such good care of him with so much love. I admire you a lot.

Good Morning/Afternoon!  Our weather is like yours, Barbara.  But, I think we "only" made it up to 89 degrees yesterday.  LOL  DH's DD and family were going to the mountains (CA) for the snow, but she expected it to be rain instead.  I understand rain may be headed our way in addition to the cooler weather.

DH slept better last night, and I only gave him the smaller dose of his medicine.  Go figure.  He is not very with it this morning, but I think he will be okay.  I'm better since I did have some rest, finally.  We watched the first couple of episodes of "House of Cards" last night.  I should say that I watched them -- think DH was asleep the whole time.  Sorry that tomorrow evening will be the last "Downton Abbey" -- really enjoy that program.

I had a good meeting with the lawyer yesterday -- this has to do with my estate plan -- POA (medical and financial, etc.)  She is quite a beautiful young lady -- in practice with her Dad.  She told me many stories about the guy who set up our trusts, etc.  What a dishonest person!  She will be re-doing my POA's (taking out DH) -- not totally necessary, but I am trying to make things easier for DD.  She is willing to make a new will and help me dump the unnecessary revocable living trust, but I'm still thinking about that.  Not a lot of money, but not absolutely necessary.  Decisions, decisions....

One of DH's old friends called yesterday evening, and we had a very good chat.  So good to talk to someone who knows how DH was before this horrible disease.  We were speculating on how he would react to the current political scene if it was the old days.  This guy is the one who lost his wife last October -- he was her caregiver for several years, and it was quite a struggle for him.

Nothing exciting planned for today -- I have the laundry going, and I'll be taking a walk and doing my financial stuff later.  

Pepper is so adorable, Barbara.  I can't imagine how excited Syd is.  Nice that you were able to visit with Amie and the girls. 

You are very kind -- as you can tell, caregiving is not easy for me.  But, I'm trying to do my best and keep a positive outlook.  Things could be much worse.  DH is still extremely nice -- no negative personality changes that are fairly common.

Hope Adam got off okay, Claudia.  I'm sure you will miss him, but I hope he finds his move to be very positive.  Then, you will feel better.

Linda, I am so glad dh slept better last night. As I told you, I am not sure that I could do the level of caregiving you do with dh. I think the bathroom issues would do me in. 

Glad ad the lawyer was helpful...you other attorney was very dishonest. No trusts needed here...I think we should redo our will a little, but v is not too interested, I did get written what I want the grandchildren to have from my jewelry. 

Decided against the pool.  The fatigue kind of hit today so I rented the movie Bridge of Spies and am watching that.

I am late posting so will keep it short. Adam and kittens got off late afternoon. Last I heard he was in Ohio.Whit had texted him and he checked his phone when he stopped for gas.

The house is a mess. He left several piles of items to throw out. Meanwhile R is no better. I plan to take him to the VA urgent care tomorrow. Monday is out as I have a dentist appointment. Tuesday, TT gets groomed. If he went to the local clinic we'd have to wait for the medicine. I'm leery of the local Erie. Last time they said it was colitis when it was really his hip.

I'm glad you had a good chat with someone who recalls how DH used to be. That's a comfort, Linda. I'm also happy you're getting good legal advice now.

Barbara, the pictures of Pepper are adorable. Sydnie must be so excited.
