Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICs week of August 2

good afternoon..we are having what I call "down south" humidity..the air is very thick. M has the ac on so the house is comfy.

I realize that we leave for Az in less than a month. We have a 6 night stay at a resort in Colorado.

Linda..so sorry about your nephews death. And it must be frustrating for dd not to know what is wrong with dgd. Has she thought about taking her to a big medical center. I went to the University of Mn for many years as did v3 who had many issues when he was young.. I hope some dr can figure out what is going on with her. It is very hard to deal with things long distance.

V seems to like the hearing aids. He does hear a lot better with them

Claudia..hope you are having a good day.

nothing exciting here..🤓🤓

Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICs week of August 2

Good Afternoon/Evening!  Definitely not humid here (very dry) but hot (104 at the moment.)  I just finished a short Leslie Sansone DVD, and I'm still sweating.  Hope the temperatures moderate by the time you get to Arizona, Barbara.  It is unusually hot and dry here now.  Good that you are comfortable in the AC and V has his hearing aids.

I think DD's closest major medical center is in Baltimore, which is quite a drive.  Plus, DGD gets car sick these days, and her insurance isn't that great.  One of the specialists they wanted her to visit was in the Baltimore area and didn't take her insurance at all.  It is a shame that insurance/money plays a part in medical care, but it is true for many.  Hopefully, one of the doctors will figure things out soon.

Hope you are doing okay today, Claudia.  Sounds like you have a good plan for the feral catching.  We have a local cat rescue place for feral cats (in addition to the regular animal shelter), and my work buddy and her husband got both of their cats there.  She told me that her husband took a generous contribution to them recently since, like many non-profits, they are struggling to keep afloat.

Nothing exciting going on here.  OLLI sent out a listing of the
"Fall" on-line classes, and I plan to look at them today or tomorrow. They have a sort of lottery registration program, but I don't need to rush since I think I have at least a week or two to decide what I would like to take,

Hope both of you, your husbands and furbabies have a nice evening and sleep well.

Hugs,

Linda

Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICs week of August 2

It's another hot day here (over 90°). I did manage to finish mowing. I still need to water the plants before dark.

I'm glad V is pleased with his hearing aids, Barbara. The 6 days in Colorado will be a nice break in your trip back to AZ.

Poor DGD, Linda. It's so frustrating not to know the cause and have limited medical choices. I'm sure you'll find some interesting OLLI choices.

Not much is happening here. Just one more day. We have another virus case.
