Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICs Memorial week, May28

Linda, I'm happy your DH is doing well right now except for the eating. R's surgeon said as you have it takes longer to heal. The 2nd count against R is the diabetes.

Allergies have been bothering me the past couple days. I remembered to call the dealership and schedule the suv to find out why the wipers don't spray. I'll get it inspected at the same time.

It appears we have a storm headed out way. Temperatures were in the upper 70's this afternoon.

Now R is hobbling around because the knee is acting up. Fix one thing and something else flares up.

Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICs Memorial week, May28

Good afternoon..a cold rainy day..quite the contrast to a week ago. I put on my barefoot dreams poncho.Perfect weight for a summer cool day. I am glad our party is not today..

i managed to to do some grocery shopping..found family packs of chicken breasts for $2 a pound ..store celebration sale..so I picked the chicken for next Thursday. V is going to clean the carpets..would like to restore the hardwood underneath but that is not in the budget for this year

M and s are at the talent agency for the day.

Linda, glad Dh is perkier.

i think the lack of hunger is part of the disease process. Hope it is not too hot there.

Claudia, hope you are having a good day. Pepper is much thinner than she was..very noticeable after her grooming.

our dinner at the hibachi grill was very good last night. M , who initially turned up her nose, said the food was very good . Syd got the giggles over some of the chefs tricks.

thankyou for your anniversary wishes.

enjoy your day.🌧🌧

Re: REFORMED SHOPAHOLICs Memorial week, May28

Good Afternoon!  Glad the dinner went well and you found such a bargain on chicken, Barbara.  Your weather is nothing like what we are having -- high of at least 102 degrees today, and hotter tomorrow.  No rain or clouds.  Fortunately, it is still pretty cool in the house. But, I know that it will be pretty hot here this afternoon.  Good for the AC.

Funny how much smaller dogs look after grooming sometimes, Barbara.  That was certainly true with our Pomeranian.

Hope all is okay with you, R, and your furbabies, Claudia.

I am back from visiting DH who was still doing pretty well.  I am still trying to find out what happened to the director who I really, really liked.  In fact, he helped me very much when I was trying to decide whether or not to place DH, etc.  Not an easy decision to make.

The first story I heard was that he suddenly resigned.  Then, I was told that he retired.  The "new" lady in charge used to be in charge of the facility, but had moved up in the company.  Supposedly, she is nice.  Then I heard that when he came to work yesterday all of his stuff was piled on top of the desk, so it sounded more like he was fired or forced to resign or be fired.  Really wish his name was less common since I would like to send him a note telling him how much I appreciated him.  But, I guess that won't happen unless someone knows more information and is willing to share it with me.

I have laundry going, and I'll do my weekly financial review later.  If all goes well, I may try to go to the pool this afternoon.

Hope both of you have a nice evening!

Hugs,

Linda

Barbara, I'm glad your dinner was very good and everyone enjoyed it. Great but in the chicken.

I need to schedule the dogs for grooming. They actually look fluffier after grooming.

Today it is cool and overcast. The rain is still holding off. I decided I'd better water the plants. Now it's guaranteed to rain.

Linda, that certainly is odd that the director left so suddenly.

Yard cleanup is done and errands are done. Now what's for supper?!
